Newbie - Bride to be :)

    Hi everyone!! Im not gettin married until 2013 but i'm startin now as I want to get to a size 10 :) i'm struggling already, I go to the gym but losing interest very fast so joined this to read all your stories... They are keeping me motivated! Im also looking to join a slimming club so any tips are welcome :) x

    Hello and huge welcome to the forum.
    congratulations on your forthcoming wedding :D Its my wedding anniversary next tuesday (14 years ).
    I am doing slimming world, i jumped on the scales and it said 13st 5lb :mad::mad: ( i was heavier than my dad ) so i took the bull by the horns and joined on 12th february 2011 and have far lost 3st 7lb, ( 7lb to target ) and feel so much healthier and can look in the mirror and sometimes like what I see!! :8855:

    Well good luck with sw, you dont say how much you wanna loose!!
    I have a trick that works for me................. IF i want a biccy/ choclate, crisps etc, i think do i want this or be slim? 96-97% biccy goes back in the packet. And tomorrow im going out for a meal for my wedding anniversary in a brand new size 10 dress, that i didnt have to try on today cos i knew it would fit. That is is the most brilliant feeling that i have had since i started my weight loss journey.It makes the no changes worth while :D:D:D

    Hi, I'm new too and also starting to slim for my wedding in 2013. I want to wear that dress and know I look fabulous. Im going to be following Slimming World but doing it myself. Start tomorrow. Have you made many plans yet? Im off to my first wedding fayre tomorrow and so excited lol x

    Oh good luck :) after reading things i think im going to give weight watchers a go! I've booked my wedding :) i went wedding dress shopping a few weeks ago and felt hideous, which was good in a way as its giving me that extra boost! Ive also printed a picture of a wedding dress and stuck it to my mirror lol ive already told my fiancè if i'm still the same size when wedding day comes i wont be turning up haha x

    WW is a good diet, Ive lost weight on it before. I did toy with the idea of doing it again but Ive got young children so i find SW fits in easier with family life as you dont have to weigh anything & only need to count syns. i like the wedding dress picture idea, i may have to use that one myself. Hoping to book ours up in the next month or so, what month are you getting married? we are going for August x

    Good luck with ww, i tried that for 2 weeks, but i found it very hard and i was starving hungry all the time, not good!! sw works well for me cos i dont weigh anything and i like potatoes and pasta (not together)!! The only thing i have to watch is my syns and A/B choices
    Good luck loosing weight and with the wedding plans

    I'm brand new to this site so bear with me
    I've been doing WeightWatchers for 18 weeks & lost 2&half stone!! I love it!
    Hungry? Not had that problem with 29pp a day plus my 49pp for my treats ;0)
    Just had bacon,mushrooms&tomatoes for my Breky & now sat with my cuppa tea & obligatory curly wurly ;0)
    Any help or tips I'm here x

    Congratulations on your wedding and well done to everyone who has posted who has managed to lose weight!!! I followed slimming world for a while and lost 2 stone in just over 4 months. I prefer slimming world because I get really hungry and its great that you know there are certain free foods that you can have unlimited amounts of. It's also easier since I have other people around me at home who are not following any diet (makes it a teeny bit difficult when there's lots of biscuits around and I'm trying not to eat the lot!!).

    Good luck with the WW and keep us updated!

    I had 29 points a day, but wasnt told about the 49 points extra a week :(( i dont think the consultant was that good and thats my i struggled so much. Myself i rather sw its easier for my with the family as well and hubby has lost 4 stone as well just following the plan that im doing ( lost more than me ) with out going to group.:cry:

    Can't believe they yr leader didn't tell you about yr extra 49 pp! That's not good at all ;0( no wonder it wasn't for you.. Glad you enjoying SW here's to a trim Christmas x
    I've got 5lb to get to goal & more than sure I do it in the next 3weeks!
    I've never put on once following WW & only maintained once! The weights just dropped off. So regardless of it being SL or WW heres to a slimmer,trimmer healthier christmas x

    Good for you! I always find that at the time i feel a bit crappy because i have a salad but afterwards i feel great for not giving into temptation :) x

    Im 4lb from target, and im NOT going to put on over christmas!!
    I have gained weight twice on plan 1) star week 2) on hols, other than that loss every week !!

    my diet! which is healthy, delicious and doesn't come from a box...
    The best way to lose weight is by doing it eating the foods you like and the activities you love. I'm not a gym person either, but I lost my weight doing one of my favorite things in the world...dancing! As well as eating foods that don't taste like cardboard, like cheese cake, roasted chicken, pizza, etc. The key factor is, everything in moderation...
