Hello everyone -

I have just bought 4 weeks worth of Exante and am starting on September 11th. I am going to do the diet until 19th December and am using Exante as a boost and motivation builder to lose the bulk of my weight before Christmas. I plan to have a break over Christmas and then reassess whether to carry on Exante after Christmas or go onto WW to finish the loss.

Truth be told I am terrified about the prospect of not eating for 13 weeks but am hoping the loses on the scales reflect my dedication to the programme.

Am hoping to get support and guidance from the more seasoned Exante dieters on here as well as find a buddy to go through the process.

Hi Kirsty, I've just started today so I can't give you any advice but give me a shout if you'd like a weight loss buddy :)

Hi Kirsty. I started total solution on 1st sept. I have done the Cambridge diet before which is basically the same and I didn't feel like I wasn't eating. I would love a weight loss buddy doing the same diet as me and going through the same things. I think it would really help with motivation, which is so important in the first week.

Hi, I'm currently doing Exante TS. It's a great way to lose weight, and it is good on your wallet too, because you will spend a lot less on food than you normally do. You can and will lose weight with Exante, especially on TS.

The first few days will be difficult but much easier if you drink plenty of water. The Exante site says between 2-4 litres a day, but I find it you drink 3-4 litres the weight comes off easier. If you get into the routine of walking around 10,000 steps a day that helps, no need to wait until your start date, getting walking now. You can add some ingredients to the shakes and soups to make them more to your taste. There is a list on the Exante website. A lot of people add Tabasco or herbs to the soups, I do. I drink the chocolate shake as a hot drink, but make it up with about twice the amount of water. The vanilla one can be made into a latte with the addition of coffee, which is good on cold mornings in winter. You'll do great if you stick to TS. It's easy to plan meals for yourself because you know you can just have three packs a day. What's harder is socialising where food or alcohol is involved, but just keep your mind on your final goal and get through that day or evening. I find the bars useful when eating out. They feel like a treat to me. Going onto a healthy eating plan like SW or WW is a good way to start back on real food without piling on those pounds you worked so hard to lose.

Wishing you all the best and here's to a slimmer and healthier future.
