NICE ways to make porridge without using milk!

magic porridge is the way forward!

mix your porridge oats (35g) with a muller light yog (or any syn free/low syn alternative) and leave it in the fridge, covered, overnight.

voila- all ready to eat!

you can heat it up the next morning- but you only need to for about 20 seconds- it heats up quick

i recommend using a fruit yog- they seem to taste nicer to me than, say, banana and custard :p

Hmm I'm going to try that tomorrow. so it'll be syn free then? because porridge will be my heb and mullerlights are free? Sorry I only joined today so I'm trying to get the hang!

yep! as long as the yog is syn free and you measure your heb worth of oats, its free :)

i have berries on the top of it- its really filling!

it takes a little while to get used to it- but just give yourself time, keep in touch with your consultant and check out the threads on here- im sure people will answer any questions you have :)

I don't like it when the oats have soaked in over night, but i love to eat it with yoghurt x

good god I hate being unable to eat dairy.

Just use boiling water and sweetner, you don't really miss the milk.
