Number of sets exercise?

Hi everyone

Bit of a silly question but when your doing exercise what does the number of sets mean? I'm tracking on ultimate value diary and it asks you to put in number of sets so if I do half an hour aerobics do i just put in one set?

It means how many times you do a particular set ... ie 10 squats then a 2 min break then another 10 squats would be 2 sets. Hope that makes sense as I'm not very good at explaining lol x
