I know they inject it in and its not supposed to hurt. My friend has just had hers removed this week coz she blames it for helping her to gain 1.5 stones in 12 months. I'll be steering well clear!!

Hi, my daughter just had one put in. Said it didn't hurt. She had it done at the docs, they make a small incision and seem to slide it in. She had a paper stitch put over it. A bruise about 2 inches long appeared the next day but went soon enough. She didn't have to have it fitted at a particular time of the month either. So far no problems for her.
