Oh Dear...

    Well its that time of the week again tomorrow evening...and i am so not looking forward to weigh in.

    i just can get my head round it 100%.
    Its not for trying. But im just finding it so hard.

    I never have breakfast and harldy ever have dinner. But i have tea. usualy pasta, chicken or something like that.

    sorry for the rant...just needed it lol

    you need to be having breakfast and lunch....by not doing so you are not doing your diet any favours and probably end up binge eating .

    It sounds as if you should be eating more, you can't go all day and eat only one meal and expect to lose weight.

    Your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto your fat.

    Try to eat a little breakfast because that gets your metabolism going, even if you only have a yoghurt it will get you started, and maybe you could manage a small cheese or ham salad for lunch with fruit, or even just some soup.

    You must try to eat more so that the diet works for you - why don't you discuss your worries with your SW counsellor, I am sure she will be glad to help you.

    you need to eat ya breakfast hun to get ya matabolisuim working, i never used to eat breakfast so i just grab a bit of fruit which then make me hungre so i eat muller light and hi fi bar. good luck for tom let us know xxxx

    The most difficult thing to get your head round at SW is that the more free food you eat, the more you lose. Once you suspend your disbelief it will start to work. You can snack on free food ALL day! But they're right you must kickstart your metabolism by eating something for breakfast, it doesn't have to be first thing. A lady at my class tonight had only eaten a meal at night this week. It's her second week and she put a pound on. Hadn't had her syns either. The plan is designed to get you losing weight through eating, trust us, it works!

    Thanks alot...i have had a cereal bar this morning and have actualy brought 2 apples to work for my dinner!!

    That a brilliant start! I'm useless in the mornings (I used the term morning loosely) I usually have 2 Aplen Light bars, because I know it will help me to target :D

    I must have the bug now...have just eaten one apple now too...

    i suppose its just breaking the habbit like any thing else...

    Oh wow, good for you - I'm not a huge fan on fruit, I get my 5 a day from veg! I personally have been doing SW on and off for about 6 years, this is my 5th (and final) go, just started week 6 and going strong! Any questions feel free to ask :)

    Thank you very much! Tips...well there is a marvelous thread called Slimming World Advice for Newbies, give that a butchers if you haven't already. My top 3 tips would be;


    • Use each part of the plan to your advantage, fill up on free foods, have your HE's everyday and please please use your syns
    • Keep track of your measurements as well as your weight - do them once a month or so
    • And remember you are human! You will have weeks when you wont loose as much as you hope, but it will happen. You didn't put weight on overnight and it wont come off overnight, but be patient and you will reep the rewards!!
