I know i shouldn't, I know its naugthy and ill-advised, but I just couldn't help myself ....

I was feeling really yucky when I got up this morning, headachy, cold, exhausted (despite a good night's sleep) and I really needed a boost. So I got on the scales...

I'VE LOST OVER 9 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!

In just two days!!!!!

I know its only going to be glycogen and water weight but still, 9 pounds is a hell of a lot in 2 days.

I'm stunned. But very VERY HAPPY!!

YAY!!! For me!!! :p

That'll keep the hunger pangs at bay for a while!!! hehe

i think u must have given that 9 lb to me! :badmood:

yes now i can blame u...i knew it couldnt have been the chocolate and jacket spud! all makes sense now.

well done anyways :D

i weighed a lot during my first week just to get me thru the carb withdrawals and headaches. I think i would have caved that first few days had i not seen it all flying off tho. after the 1st week tho u need to get rid of ur scales...bad bad habit lol

well done again!

OK, you can blame me for that - as long as I can blame you if I fall off the wagon and succumb to a HUGE chinese takeaway :D :D

You're right Sonkie - I'm on SUCH a high right now!!!
It's been sooooooooooo long since I've lost anything, let alone 9 pounds - its so good that it makes up for the fact that I cried when I discovered that i HATED broccoli and cheese soup last night!!! :(

Well, if I can bring myself to try it again, I'll try it with black pepper - thanks for the tip!

But really, it tastes like vomit (IMO anyway), I was sooooooooooo hungry when I made it up last night. I was devastated when I hated it so much! My other half didn't know what to do with me as i sat there, crying into the bowl!!! I did manage to eat half of it tho!

aww god u poor thing! i must admit i was much the same when i first tried it but i actually enjoy it now. as u go thru the diet u will find ur tastes change and flavours u love may not appeal later (and vice versa)

pepper does help loads tho and i use it in all the soups to make them nicer! i just hope i dont go off pepper!!

Enjoy the high, it's wonderful isn't it? but remember scales can also make you feel VERY down and unhappy, if they don't do as you want them to - and they often don't. PLEASE keep off the scales. Let your counsellor weigh you once each week, and leave it at that. Your "job" is to stick to the diet, whether the scales are moving or not. If you stick at it, they WILL move, but not at a uniform rate.
Well done.

Thanks everyone, there's so much great advice to be found on this site!

I'm going to try and resist the scales until Monday, a full week after starting. This is when I promised myself I'd weigh again. I don't see my CDC for 2 weeks and I really can't weight (ha! see what I did there?:p ) that long to find out how I've done!!

Still on a high this morning, but did hit a stumbling block last night - I have another question (us newbies eh? always asking questions!!! :D ) but I'll start another thread again.

Thanks again everybody - I love this site!!!

Hi Lovelyjoolz

Well done you 9lb is amazing, I am just like you and really hate nearly all of the CD. Soup is like vomit I agree so I make mine into crisps in the microwave and they are not toooooo bad (not pringles though he he)

Last night I froze the banana tetra block and it tasted just like banana icecream and that was really nice (felt like a treat)

The rest I just get it down me as fast as I can and I pat myself on the back every single day I complete SS without cheating

I lost 16lb my first week and thats an amazing feeling, just been to be weighed and I have now lost 3 stone in 6 weeks ~ how cool is that

The weight lose and this amazing site with the lovely friendly people will get you through the tougher times

Good luck with your journey to slimland

ps listen to Ann (westhills) she is my lovely CDC and this week I sneeked a little weigh in on my own scales and they showed no loss ~ when I got to Ann's I had lost 7lb so I am never doing that again !!!!!
Once a week weigh in for me from now on ~ lessen learned

Lovelyjoolz,

I am new to this too. I started at 306 (lost down to 299 before starting CD). So, not that far behind you...your success has me thrilled. Well done! I will watch your posts for sure.
