Its day 13 and i go for my second weigh in tomorrow and i recken i've lost 3/4 pounds (my scales weigh the same as the pharmacy's)

However i am finding that i am start to nibble more. I feel great with the weight loss and i can notice it in my clothes but i feel i can't go on anymore.

At the weekends i'm like a demon and during the week it is hard cooking for the family. I go for my weigh in tomorrow and im not sure weather to continue or try something else. I need some advice please....

Hey, I find it hard too, to cook for the family I mean. I do all the cooking in the house and we all love home made dishes. When I was in the first 2 weeks of LT I found it sooooo hard but now I'm in my 4th week I'm oblivious to it - honestly it gets easier. Believe me I swear I could have eaten a block of cheese the other day, and all the leftovers on everyones plates cos I hate leftovers - such a waste of perfectly good tasty food :( that I can't eat. But then I think well this is why I got myself into this fat position in the first place - finishing off others, and constantly grazing. So it goes in the bin which I actually find harder than cooking it! I always have my Brita Water Filter by my side when I'm at home, I sip all day long and no longer feel the need to pick at food. This det definately seems to get easier the longer you are on it. My only problems are social events! I really don't like turning people down. And April is a month full of birthdays and sooo many invites to eat out already! You are doing sooo well - go on keep up the good work - you know you can. Oh and when I get bored and sit there dreaming of food I find something to do like chat on Face Book, come on here, clean the house! I find my house incredibly tidy and clean lately! lol

It is a very hard diet to follow and you have to have a fire in your belly to stick to it.

I think there are two aspects to this- The right diet and the right time.

Everyone has to find a diet that suits them to stay on it long term. We all have our ups and downs on this diet but if you really and honestly can't stick to it for the majority of the time, I'd be looking for an alternative.

I have wanted to lose weight for the best part of a year but have never had the motivation to do it. The timing just wasn't right. Then over christmas I just felt so awful I resolved to lose it and lose it I will.

My point being is that whatever diet you choose, you have got to really want to lose weight and if the motivation and drive is not there, then maybe the time isn't right for you.

Maybe you could give yourself another week, promise yourself to stick to it and if you can't, think about changing after that.

Well said Hoolie, I spent the whole of last year piggin out, saying I'll lose weight for Crimbo! Which came and went. I'm fed up of being the only fat one at the Cimbo family meal. And I know for a fact I have been thinking that for 5 years now. And 5 years ago I was alot smaller than I am now. So I know all my family are thinking "My god every year she just gets bigger and bigger" But of course they don't say anything! This year they will def be saying something! Cos I will be slim and healthy! I'll blow em away!

Ah guys thank you all for the advice. i know it would be worth it in the end and considering i don't have a huge amount to lose i should reach my target quick enough. I'll talk it over with my pharmacist tomorrow to see what she thinks.

So did I. And no matter how anyone tried to motivate me..it had no effect. Sometimes it had the opposite effect. Then one day, I woke up and that was that. My mind was set and here we are :)

Hi ebd
I know exactly how you feel, on week 3 I told the chemist I couldn't do it anymore and was seriously going to give it up. I decided to give it one more week and I was glad I did. I soon got over that feeling and didnt look back. So try and think why you gave this a go and with your weigh in it might give you the strength to carry on for another week and then who knows. good luck whatever you decide
