Hopefully this will be the last diary I start. And I will stick to posting.

I am a soon-to-be 40 year old mum of 5 and a second year student midwife. Currently up to my neck in coursework, assignments and placement. I also have 3 grandchildren and 2 more on the way.

I am attempting SW for the 2nd time (first time I lost 20lbs but didn't stick to it). I weigh 14 stone and am a size 16-18. I would like to be a size 10-12.

Hopefully in 2 years I will qualify and graduate as a midwife. And I would love to be able to wear a beautiful slinky ball gown to my grad ball.
 
So food diary for today

Breakfast:
bran flakes (heb) with skimmed milk (hea)

Lunch:
chilli bean soup

Tea:
bonfire burger with a lighter cheese slice (10.5 syns) (from the new magazine), slimming world chips and salad
Vanilla mullerlight, meringue nest (2.5 syns), mango chunks, grapes, watermelon and choc shot (1 syn)

Total syns: 14 syns
 
Feeling under the weather today so having a day snuggled up warm. Going to plan my meals for the next week as I am at uni.

Food diary for today

Breakfast:
Bran flakes (heb) with skimmed milk (hea)

Lunch:
Chilli bean soup
Mullerlight (after 8 mint)

Im not sure what's for tea yet so will update later. We are still waiting for the shopping to be delivered.

Tea:
Chicken curry and rice

Lunch:

Banana

Tea:
Jacket potato

Monday

Breakfast:

Lunch:
Tuna salad (2 syns for the dressing)
Mullerlight
Velvet crunch (4.5 syns)

Tea:
2 low fat sausages (3 syns)
SW chips
Poached eggs
Baked beans
Onions and mushrooms (fried in fry light)
1 slice of white bread (4 syns)

Total syns: 13.5 syns
 
Today's food

Breakfast:
Chopped banana, blueberries and mullerlight with granola (5 syns)

Lunch:
Ham salad
Low fat yoghurt (0.5 syns)

Tea:
New potatoes
Mushy peas
Sweetcorn
Fish in breadcrumbs (6 syns)
Parsley sauce (3 syns)

Total syns: 14.5 syns

First weigh in and I have lost 4lbs

My food today

Breakfast:

Kelloggs cracker crisps (4 syns)

Tea:
Pukka pie chicken and mushroom (23 syns)
New potatoes
Mushy peas
carrots
Gravy (1 syn)

Snacks:
Kit Kat 2 fingers (5.5 syns)

Total syns: 33.5 syns (!!!!)
 
I don't know why but the day after weigh in, I just want to binge. I must put a stop to that :(

Feeling a bit down today. I need to not let my mood dictate my eating today as I tend to comfort eat. Just had my breakfast before getting on with more uni work. Deadlines are looming!

Breakfast:
Porridge (heb) with chopped banana

Lunch:
Beans and cheese (hea) on toast (9 syns for the bread)

Tea:
Spaghetti and meatballs with homemade sauce

Snacks:
1 pack of Pom Bears (4.5 syns) I love these but have to buy individual packs as I would eat the whole multipack in one go

I find it really hard to plan the day before the shopping is delivered as the cupboards are bare.

I have a bank night shift tonight so I'm glad I have planned for it or I would just buy crap and munch all night.

So my 12.5 hour night shift became a 14.5 hour night shift due to the nurse who was relieving me ringing in sick at midnight. Managed to get the shift covered.
I then slept till 4pm.
All I have had to eat today is my tea. Not hungry at all.

Tea:
Pork steak with mushrooms and onions
Mashed potatoes
Broccoli
Peas and sweetcorn

I am so tired

Total 0% Greek yogurt with mixed berries, chopped banana and blueberries

Lunch:
Chinese flavour mugshot
Kelloggs cracker crisp (4.5 syns)
Mullerlight cherry yogurt

Tea:
I had no tea as I had a massive row with hubby and I went to my daughter's house for a bit. I went home and went straight to bed.

Although that means I probably haven't eaten enough for the last 2 days, I haven't binged either. Which is good as my mood can after dictate my eating habits.

I am now in bed with a banging headache, feeling very sorry for myself. Though me and hubby seem to have sorted our differences out.

I am currently having to write an assignment on obesity in pregnancy. Reading about how body image can affect the thoughts around food and impact on your children is a sobering thought. I never realised that my yoyo dieting would affect how my children see themselves.

Weigh in results: 3lbs off, making a total loss of 7lbs. So I got my first half stone award and Slimmer of the Week. Brought a home a big bag of fruit as my prize :) :)
