I read these are good for toning the waist and losing inches; apparently they are easier to use that the light plastic ones. Anyone tried them?

my daughter has one, i am rubbish with it....

It also took me ages to get hold of one, as the proper ones are specialist. Int he end i Had to get it mail order and it cost as much delivery.

    Good luck with it...

I've seen them in TK MAXX, but remembering how crap I was at school with a hula hoop I gave it a miss.

There's a clip on YouTube of 'Betty Hoops' doing a marathon race while hooping!!!! That takes co-ordination!
