Pain in Knee

I get a pain in my knee when I do certain types of exercises, it's fine if I'm running or swimming, but other exercises really hurt. It feels like my knee wants to pop if that makes sense? But it can't and I can feel it clicking if I put my finger on it. I spoke to a PT cuz it was mainly doing squats, and she corrected my technique and it's loads better, but still hurts when I do lunges and zumba. Any ideas what I can do? Is a knee support the way forward?
