painkillers only to be taken with food

    ok so badly hurt my neck n shoulder today at wrk, went to ane and they prescribed high dosage of cocodamol and anti inflamatorys, the doc said under no circumstances take any of these without food, so im in pain- had to eat, i had half a tin of tuna, some cucumber and some pickled onions( any advice will be great) im worried these may take me out of ketosis xx

    You poor thing - I hope you're not in agony :(

    I sometimes need anti-inflammatories for neck and back pain - this week I've taken them with either the shakes or soups as this will line your stomach which is why you take them with food. I'm no expert on ketosis as I've only just started Exante this last week but I can't see the foods you've mentioned having any effect? I'm sure other people who are far more experienced than me will let you know though :)

    Exante TS was using Xenical and eating low fat and low cal. Exante baby!!!
    I took some some ibuprofen the other day, I just had them with my usual shake. If you need to take medicines with food there is a list of food which you can eat in the sticky section, take a look :)

    the tuna and cucumber is fine , its best to avoid onions but I doubt you have done any damage . You should be ok taking them with a shake or soup , it is food after all , but if you are wrried then the rules are - chicken , white fish , tuna , eggs , with green or white veg ( but not onions , peas , beans , )
