Hiya!

Not necessarily (unfortunately). Some things have syns because of the way they are processed to get them into a tin/jar/etc.

Tinned fruit is a good example - tinned pineapple has syns, but if you go and get a fresh pineapple, that's syn-free. The same goes for pureed or cooked fruit (e.g. apples), fruit smoothies and juices, etc - that process of cooking or mashing up attracts syns.

Sorry!

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea - or use the syn calculator with the nutritional information instead?

Afraid not about the fruit - it's something about the canning process that adds syns, even if you buy it in natural juices. Most tinned fruit can be one of your Healthy Extra B choices (but double check this please!) but just get the real things and you can eat as much as you like!

Ok guys, I'm not talking to myself - honest! Looks like the OP I was replying to has been banned!

Thought I was going mad there for a sec ;)
