Please help - Cheese and bacon potato

Hi
I'm new to the diet so still having trouble guessing syn amounts would be very grateful for any help
I've just been out and had a jacket potato with cheese and bacon. It was one of those ones where the middle is scooped out and put back in, the bacon was lean and the cheese was just a thin layer at the top but I think it had butter on it (although not masses as plate wasn't oily when I'd finished) and the salad had a small amount of vinaigrette
It was half a potato as I had the small portion size
Can anyone please help me guess the syn value for it if I use my hexA for the cheese (or some of the cheese)
Thanks
Picture attached

Edited: oh yeah I'm on EE :)

Impossible to say for sure sorry but probably quite a lot. I would just draw a line and move one but for the future, things with bacon and cheese are generally not the best choice :(

Yeah I asked before I ordered it and the cheese was literally just a thin layer at the top probably not much more if any than a hexA portion the bacon was back bacon with fat trimmed and obv the potato and salad were allowed (as i understand) so I guess it'd be Syns for butter, dressing and maybe for cheese

Ok so butter 1 tsp 2 Syns
Cheddar 25g 5 Syns
(cheddar hexA 30g)
French dressing 1tbsp 1 1/2 Syns

Do we think allowing 10syns would be anywhere near? If I use my hexA for some cheese

15? 20?

From the picture it looks like more than a HEX of cheese, theres no way of knowing what they cooked the bacon in or how many syns were in the dressing. You've eaten it now so theres nothing you can do about it. I would allocate it your syns for the day and move on.

Agree with Patchwork and Erimintrude. Its impossible to say how many syns are in it. The bacon might be lean, but it would need to be extra lean to be free, and it was probably cooked in oil, plus any butter the potato, etc etc. Its best to just start afresh and not worry about it.

In future, I'd avoid bacon & cheese in restuarants in general. Most pubs will do gammon, grilled chicken etc ,and will do a salad without dressing so you can eat within syns quite easily. I n fact you can eat like a king in the harvster for 6 syns! Or if you do want a jacket potato with cheese then ask them to put the cheese in a seperate tub for yu so you can control how much you have.

It was a limited bank holiday menu the two potato options were that or mozzarella and pesto (i asked about plain but they were already made up) eeeek, no chicken except in a huge mixed grill and no salad at all. No good choices at all. Was mostly pies, chips and ciabattas with cheese :S
Oh well.
