Portion sizes for vegetarians

I'm following an online diet which is basically calorie-counted (similar amounts to others). I'm also trying to become fully vegetarian. If I do so, am I allowed larger portions of cheese and vegetables?

Well obviously you need to be careful with cheese as it's so high in calories, it's something I've cut out apart from just having some of those little Babybel Light, which are only 42 calories. I think if you look at things like quark rather than cheese it would be better. :) xx

My husband is a vegetarian, we follow the slimming world diet. If he is following the green days which is mostly fruit and veg based then he's allowed to double his A and B portions (calcium and fibre etc) If you're just following a good healthy eating programme with a good range of food then just look at what meat gives you nutritionally and find another vegetarian friendly food that gives you it. My husband doesn't eat any meat or fish and doesn't come to any harm on a good healthy eating plan :)
