Are you using the powder or the whole husks?

I bought a bag of what looks like saw-dust, put it in my shake and through it away. Looked SO bad...would love to know how to use them right.

ooooooooo never thought of putting them in my soup , would make a lovely filling soup.mmmmmmmmmmm

I use psyllium husk ( i get mine off ebay about £3 for 250g), yes it looks like saw dust.

    I make porridge with it.
put the shake mix and 1 tbs of husk in a measureing jug add hot water upto around the 300ml level and whisk until smoothe leave for a min to thicken and there you have you hot filling breakfast.

Ive used vanilla shake, chocolate shake, strawberry and banana.
