query regarding rice pudding

if i do slimming world rice pudding tonight and wait till it cools down before putting it in the fridge overnight can i then eat it at room temp at work tomorrow instead of putting bk in the work fridge???????

i have always understood that rice that has been cooked should be cooled within one hour and kept refrigerated, hope that helps!
