Rejoin to re-lose 2 stone

    Hello chatterboxes! I've rejoined online after losing 2 1/2 stone over 2 years, then piling it back on in 7 months. It went on sooooo easily. Before I knew it the wine was flowing, followed by chocolate, followed by all the worst food choices and here I am, back to nearly where I started!
    Anyone else going through this? I'm so cross with myself! I went from a tight size 14 to 8-10 and was so convinced I was never going back I gave all my clothes to charity & family. Now most of my clothes are too tight. I also went from running an exhausting mile to running 3 half marathons and now I'm back to short, exhausting runs. What a waste of all that exercise.
    Still, I've been doing red days for a week now and I've lost 4lb sticking to 5 syns per day, measuring and no cheats. I feel happier already just for getting that control back - it's a weight off my mind.
    Thought I'd share that with all you dedicated SW members and followers. Your threads are keeping me going so thanks ? x

    well done! Im just starting again so hopefully, my first week will go the same. I know what u mean about being back where you started, it feels really frustrating doesn't it? But I think it makes us more determined not to do it again (hopefully) Good luck for your 2nd week hope it goes as well as your first. Lisa xx

    Thanks Lisa. Yes I'm really determined now. The switch is flipped and the best bit is I know as you do that SW really works, just hope it's a bit less than 2 years this time but I am a snail. How's your journey going any loss yet or is it still early days?

    lol! thats the sort of thing I do!! I am literally just starting again this week. trying to decide whether to go to class or do it on y own, with this site as encouragement. not sure really.

    Me too. I'm going to go it alone first and see if I can make it work as it's hard to fit group around my job. If not I'll go back to my fab consultant and make time! Either way I'm going to make it work! Have you ever been to a group? It was fun but meant a late night for me.

    yes I used to go when I lost the weight after having my son, and my consultant was fab! I live in a different area now so am not sure what my consultant is like here. I'm going tomorrow night so fingers crossed she will be just as good, it will work this time!!I am determined. xx

    Hi ladies had been doing really well on slimming world but the past couple of weeks I have really lost the plot and cant seem to get back on track just eating rubbish for the sake of it grrr.

    Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow hope it goes well.

    Karen - hello! Days where you lose the plot are so disheartening but they are only one day out of a whole year so make today a new day and feel proud of having a good day. We can't be perfect all the time as sometimes life gets in the way. Hope you have a positive day :)

    I am so like you... ive just rejoined and have 3 stone to loose... I dont get it... why do we do it to ourselves???
    when following the plan i feel great, incontroll, wearing nice clothes, feeling energetic, confident....sexy so why do we revert back to our old ways?
    On a positive note its fantastic that we are now back on track and starting to look after ourselves, heres to a sucessfull weight loss journey and to keep it up for good xx

    So true MCV. I thought 2 years of losing had cured my overeating. I suppose in comparison to decades of overeating it'll take much longer than that! True, though, it does make you positive when you're on plan. It takes a huge weight off my mind. Are you red, green or EE? I'm normally green but I've been red and green this week. Well done for getting back on plan!

    Generally i do extra easy, because i like the flexibility, but i must admit i miss the extra A & B healthy extras that you get with red or green days.

    I could never get into extra easy for that reason. Too set in my ways I think!

    well I didnt go to class Ive decided to try it at home for a few weeks, my hubby is going to weigh me every tuesday, and my 5 pound is going into a pot. If I lose weight itll go in my pot towards my kindle( my treat if i get to target) if I put on weight then it goes in his pot, for his yearly lads trip to newquay- I would hate loads of money to go towards a load of alcohol so its spurring me on. Fingers crossed I have been really good the last couple of days, food diarys being filled in and Ive got zumba tonight. Im drinking far more water and green tea and I must admit, I know it's only been a couple of days but I do feel better already. How are you all getting on this week?

    Hi Lisa,
    I love the plan! What a fab idea. Great motivation to have an anti-beer kindle fund. Genius! Plus you get another free evening. I reckon if we are strong- willed and honest on food diaries we can do it this way. I haven't cheated for a week now so I'm weighing on Saturday morning. Hopefully I'll have a loss. Ran 6k today and did weights afterwards. It felt good so the only way is up! Are you keeping a diary?

    6 K wow!! I would love to be able to run that far but alas my body isnt athletically built, Im more suited to dance based exercise. Ive Zumba'd tonight and Im going to try and dust of my 30 day shred dvd to do the nights i'm not zumbaing. I've been keeping a food diary at home but I may put one on here, so I can see whats going right and whats not. Well done on not cheating for a week, I hope I manage it too. Its nice to have people to chat to about it on here, as my DH doesnt really understand and IM trying not to let too many people know Im doing it as its too much pressure for me. x

    Love it, id do anything to stop money going into the lads night out fund and keep it in my pot.
    Probably being thick but what is zumba??
    Ive got a bit of an insentive... a woman has started my ws group, her daughter tends to pick on my daughter at school, its kinda rattled me really and im determind that im not going to be out done. Im not really a cow i promise, but grab on to any motivation that keeps us on track is what i say.
    so needless to say im doing great this week.
    Keep it up ladies we will get there:p

    Well done MVC! motivation is motivation, wherever it comes from. Hope your girl is ok. Although a clip round the ear to the nasty lady could be seen as body magic, best not or you'll get in trouble!!!!!
    Never done zumba but everyone who has says it's brilliant, is it difficult Lisa? I wouldn't do it as my coordination makes me a danger to others. My running is far safer for the rest of humankind...
