Removing stains from upholstery help

big bear

A bear on a mission!
How can I remove stains from my kitchen chairs? They have material on the seat & having a 2 wee ones they have spilt drinks, yogurts, food on them. Obviously I try & wipe them down but they have a few stains. Any tips?

Also there are a few on my carpet where my daughter has dropped food whilst trying to feed herself, as she's Miss Independent she won't let me spoon feed her...

Thanks...

Vanish mousse is good you spray it on, rub it in & then hoover up when dry, or you can get car upholstory cleaner which works in the same way, i.e. it's a foam. You could get some nice kiddie plastic material from a fabric shop to put on their seats & perhaps either make a edging to thread some ribbon in which will let you tie it on the chairs or tack some washable material to the chairs.

I am the laziest cleaner ever so I am a big fan of "leave on" stain removers. I second the Vanish Mousse!

Oh thanks ladies, I like your thinking. I'm not keen on scrubbing for ages either! X
