Rhianny ventures into the unknown!

    well here is a little info about me!
    My name is Rhian and I live just outside of Glasgow! I am twenty four and live with my partner :) I am also a baker in a cupcake shop which I absolutely love however it isn't so good for the whole slimming world thing ;)
    i did slimming world at home for a few months and absolutely loved it however I fell off the bandwagon in November. So I have decided to go to my first ever class tonight! I am terrified about it but I know that it will make me accountable for my own bad decisions and hopefully keep me on track.
    I have no idea how much I weigh now as I don't own a set of bathroom scales so i am obviously scared about what I will be faced with tonight...but a the end of the day it's my own fault for letting it get this far and I can only keep telling myself that this will be the last time I will see those numbers on the scale!
    i have been to asda and stocked up on all the essentials like fruit and veg, mugshots, and mushy peas so I am all set to give this my best shot! My partner is a very fussy eater, ie no mushrooms, onions,only certain meat, no fish etc so it makes it frustrating to cook two meals to suit us both but I have decided I am going to keep testing her and make her try new foods as often as possible. I have already managed this to a degree as all she would eat when I first met her was beans and cheesey pasta haha so my plan is working slowly but surely!
    Well here is my planned menu for today:

    Breakfast: 1x lm red onion and rosemary sausage, bacon medallion, egg in fry light, mushrooms and onions in fry light, 2x wholemeal bread from 400g loaf
    (0 syns 1hexb)
    Lunch: mugshot, salad and fruit (0 syns)
    Dinner: nandos fake away! Chicken breast in nandos medium marinade, Mexican rice fusions, salad
    (not 100 percent on syns but know it won't be more than 6 but will find out for certain)

    well ill that's all for now! I will update later on after my class to let you know how it went :)

    Thanks very much! I am sure you will do great! I have to say that I am so glad I took the plunge and went to class though! My consultant seems lovely and really easy to talk to! I bought the six week countdown so I hope it keeps me on track!
    so far todayi have had
    breakfast: 1x LM red onion sausage, scrambled eggs, onion and mushrooms
    lunch : homemade vegetable soup, alpen light, grapes
    (1/2 hex b)

    I think dinner will be pasta in tomato sauce with vegetables and some tuna...I think ha it all depends what I. Can be bothered making when in.

    I'm just outside of Glasgow, too - glad you got on good at your first class! We have the same target weight - how are you finding SW? X

    Hi! A fellow scot! I am loving slimming world! I really enjoy cooking so it is definitely the best plan for me! How are you getting on! I have a long way to go until target but it's always good to have something to work towards I suppose! Xx

    well today has been great so far! My family is on SW too so I came home for dinner and my mum had made gammon steaks, SW chips and eggs. Oh my goodness it was delish! So my plan for tomato pasta has went way out the window until tomorrow ha!
    today was also my first day at work...which was pretty hard I must say! Working in a cupcake shop is torture when trying to eat healthier but I am determined to do this!

    I and welcome to everyone who has subscribed! It really helps to know I have so much support on here! Will today is day two and I am feeling great I have to say! I made some more soup last night so am currently eating that for my lunch!

    breakfast : 2x bacon medallions,2x eggs,3x mushrooms.
    lunch : homemade veg soup, 2 x hexb bread, grapes.

    i am determined to have my tomato and tuna pasta for dinner tonight with my hex a of Parmesan on top. I am a total Parmesan fiend! I will find any excuse to eat it on anything and everything! It is a bit of an obsession!
    I also have a packed of wotsits and an alpen bar to keep me on track when all of my lovely cakes start to tempt me!

    I am feeling really positive today! God I hope it continues! I really think the suppost on these forums are invaluable! So thanks to everyone!

    Welli. Have been feeling very positive today although I have to admit to really craving a cake...but I know this is only because I am not allowed it ha. I haven't wanted cake since I started my job! I am proof that you CAN get sick of cake after a while! But I managed to stay strong and I feel pretty proud of myself! I am forcing myself to remember how awful I used to feel after a binge on bad things...so not worth it.
    so to finish my meal diary for today I have had :
    dinner : tinned tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, garlic, pasta and parmesan
    (hexa 0 syns)
    1x alpen light

    So I Have had 7.5 syns altogether today so far! Which isn't too bad at all!

    Hi everyone!
    well today has been pretty good form a SW point of view!
    Breakfast : beans and 2x wm bread from 400g loaf
    lunch: left over pasta from last night, wotsits, alpen light, grapes
    (10.5 syns)
    Dinner: chicken wrapped in bacon medallions with low low cheese, roasted onion, carrot mushrooms and some SW chips.

    Cant believe how full I am feeling! Loving all the food I am preparing, my partners mum bought me a soup mix for butternut squash so im putting that in the slow cooker tomorrow morning so I have something nice and healthy to come back to!
    Work is still a struggle but I am powering on through with it...I hope it starts to get easier...I mean we had Cranachan cupcakes today and I have never craved a cake like I did that one but I stayed strong...not sure how mind you!

    I've no idea what cranachan is but well done you for resisting the cake temptation! It does feel like a huge amount of food at times doesn't it but I think the fact that you don't have to go hungry is what will make it work x

    Hey! Cranachan is a scottish pudding with raspberries, oats, cream and whiskey...oh my goodness it is so good!

    well yesterday went pretty well all things considered I think...although I did end up eating baked potato, beans and salad for lunch AND dinner as I was out and had no idea what else to order as the selection was either that or a toastie ha! But hey at least it was all on plan!
    i had 7.5 syns all in yesterday and that was for my packet of wotsits and my alpen light bar!
    still feeling really excited to be eating all this lovely food! I have more chicken and rice soup in the slow cooker for dinner and going to have some prawns in garlic and salad for lunch.
    how is everyone else getting on?

    oooh that sounds lovely Rhiann ... I love raspberries! You did really well to stay on plan, and I guess we'll get more familiar with what we can have when out and about. Theres a place in nottingham that's run by the happy egg company. my other half and step son love the pancakes and waffles, but they do scrambled egges and omelettes too, fresh in front of you ..so Im hoping that will be a good place for me to eat as I can ask for no fat in the prep .

    you reminded me that I have a slow cooker too - I've never used it, yet! How do you do your soup in yours ?

    That place sounds brilliant! It's good to know we can go out and still enjoy ourselves with friends and family!
    in my slow cooker I put in four grated carrots, a leek, two small grated onions and chicken stock made with three stock cubes. I put it on high for a couple of hours then added some shredded chicken breast and a cup or rinsed rice. After an hour of so more it's done! It is seriously good x
