I'm doing some publicity around the 150th anniversary of District Nursing and came across this recipe from the Queen's Nurses Magazine. It's over 60 yr old but for those on ee and using low syn or syn free sausages it could be one to try!

Hot Potato Dogs | 1946
A medium well scrubbed potato
A sausage (skinned)

Remove a centre core, using an apple corer, from the centre of each potato, and stuff the cavity with sausage meat. Bake the potatoes in their jackets in the usual way. Serve hot.
