Any success stories from people who started running to lose weight?
 
The opposite! Years ago when I first got into running I ate the traditional high carb/low fat diet and ended up putting on a couple of stone from the constant hunger. Having ditched the carbs I can now enjoy distance running (and other exercise) without piling on the weight. I don't think my exercise does a thing for my weight, it's about what I eat. What the exercise does do is help me relax, gives me a strong and flexible body, and encourages me to eat healthily to 'fuel the machine'.
