    Afternoon ladies and gents :D

Does anyone ever make scrambled egg in the microwave? If so, how do you do it?

I want to give it a go instead of using the hob to save some time but ive never done it before :p

I do this all the time. I use a glass jug or bowl and cook it on high but I whisk it every 30 secs. It only takes maybe 90 secs and the last 30 secs I whisk it every ten seconds.
If you don't you just end up with a big jug of rubber rather than fluffy scrambled egg!

Whenever I've done it, I mix it as normal in a glass jug or bowl, and then nuke it. But you have to watch it carefully and keep stopping it and giving it a good stir. Keep repeating until done ...

    Hope that makes sense!

You could add a spot of mik to it from your allowance if you wanted too.
I normally do as Jaylou and Wenders have suggested....just whisk and nuke.

I do it all the time too, I usually add a drop of cold water to the eggs and then beat them up and cook as Jaylou has explained above - a really quick and filling breakfast or lunch meal.....enjoy.

I hate scrambled eggs in the microwave, its always such a faff to keep taking them out and mixing them otherwise theyre a big solid mass. If you have the option of the hob or microwave go for the hob everytime, you really wont save much time at all

I can never get the pan clean though Sandy, always easier to clean the jug. I find it burns in the pan, I'm rubbish doing it on the hob!!

Trick is to just keep stirring it so it doesnt stick to the pan ;) Have to admit tho if it does stick its a pest to get off lol

Once you get a feel for the timings on your microwave you won't need to take it out to stir it so often.

I do two lightly beaten eggs in a mug with a splash of water, seasoning and a couple of drops of hot sauce. Blast on high power (800kW) for 1 minutes, stir, 30 secs, stir, 20 secs. Perfect!

One thing though, take it out of the microwave while it's still slightly too runny as it will continue cooking a bit after you take it out.

For cleaning the pan if done on the hob I use scrunched up tin foil elbow grease and some washing up liquid applied directly. I was taught this by the scouts and it cleans up even using cold water at camp!
