I don't know if other people have this same experience but here we go again...

Have done really well and lost 2 stone in eight weeks. Next thing I know I don't stop eating junk all week and I am 6lbs heavier. I can only hope some of it is water or whatever but raaah! I do this every time! What's wrong with me? I have got so much weight still to lose! Every single time I do this.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Any psychology to explain my actions?

I do exactly the same hun. It's like I'm not in control of my own body. My mind is screaming "dont eat that...you'll regret it later" but I still eat untold junk when I have one of these blips. I tell myself I will start properly again 2moro. But that just means I've given myself permission to eat a full packet of biscuits in one go today!
Ive found calorie counting on my fitness pal is the method I can stick to for the longest. I let myself have chocolate etc as long as its within my calorie allowance. I know this may not be the best way to lose weight. But at the moment I need to have something otherwise I would have a massive blow out and ruin everything.
The thing I am going to try which I hope will help is getting weighed twice a week. I don't know about you but I find a week is too long for me to keep motivated. I'm fine for the first few days and then I start losing focus. But im hoping if I get weighed 2 days a week (3/4 days apart) then this will break it down into more manageable chunks...hopefully!
I wish you all the best and please share if you have any motivation tips :)

If you use MFP - log it. Whatever you eat, log it! That way you're accountable in another way that you can see in front of your eyes just what you've done. Hopefully it'll trigger something when you see your losses and your calorie intake.

You're human lovely - don't let one bad meal/choice/snack reflect on your entire day/week! :) xx

weekends are my problem. ... I'll be so disciplined all week then throw it all away on a Friday night out or Saturday .... I'm weighing on a Thursday now so if I do slip up at the weekend I have the start of the week to get myself back on track. ... especially if it is water weight that I've gained!

Well done on your 2 stone loss thats fantastic! Don't let one little slip up put you off, we all experience bumps in the road during our journeys. Its how we deal with them after, put it behind you and plan next weeks food and carry on. You can do this! :)

Thank you ladies I really do appreciate your replies :) I am back now, only 0.5lbs up from where I was before and feeling like I am ready to have another good go at it.
I have had a good day and I'm going to go swimming later which I haven't done for a couple of weeks. Mentally I have been quite down which is also linked to eating because I stop caring about myself, but it feels like the cloud is clearing today :)
