Shall I start today?

    I have a dilema. I have been trying to get into ss for months, there always seems to be some reason to 'start tomorrow'! However, have woken up this morning and feel ready, I am sick of food and feeling like I do. My parents are coming to stay from tomorrow until Saturday. I know that we will go out for coffee etc, will I have enough willpower to resist eating anything? If they know that I have finally begun then they will give me their support, but will I spoil their visit. I feel so raring to go I don't realy want to put off starting for another 5 days. I have had some toast this morning but did'nt enjoy it, just made me feel bloated. Words of wisdom needed, what would anyone else do?

    What about starting on 1200/1000 plan that way you will be preparing to go into ss, and will drop some weight, but will still be able to enjoy an odd meal out with your Mum and Dad.

    Hi Lindy-
    i know how you feel.
    i have been the same way on a couple of occassions.
    you need to work out what is the best way forward for you.
    i cant do the eating less option.
    for me its all or nothing!

    if i really need to lose weight then i have to wait until my mind is in the right place like yours seems to be right now.
    then when ive lost the weight i need to, i can relax slightly and i do 790.
    i have shakes for breakfast and tea and a light salad with chicken or fish.
    my reward for being good during the day.
    then i know i can walk away from the table feeling full and happy about my will power.
    how do you work things out in your own head?????
    how will you cope with eating certain foods and not others????
    you will always lose weight if you cut the calories down!!
    which way is best for you to keep going ?
    everyone is soooo different.
    but the diet is not SS equals no exceptions. thats final!
    which do you prefer for the long term??
