Not sure if htere is a thread already but I couldnt find it if there is ... but I thought we could all share our recipe ideas for those that might be a little bored of just adding some green veg to meals and want to "spice" things up a little .. heres my first one ...


Last night, I roasted a portobello mushroom and cooked the veg chilli on the hob, When both were cooked, i filled the portobello mushroom with the vegetable chilli and sprinkled a handful of homemade brown breadcrumbs on top and a teaspoon of parmasan and popped it under the grill ... it was amazing!

Any one else got any good ideas of things to do with the meals or soups?

Cruisin' for a losin'!

Not so much a recipe but a nice addition, I mixed a tin of green lentils with the chicken tikka massala in a big dish after heating both up. I also put a spoonful of chilli powder in with the lentils and some salt and pepper, it adds 180 cals but really bulks out the meal as a good alternative to rice and goes perfectly in taste and texture with the curry.
