Shopping tips :o)

    I was wondering if anybody can give me some essential items i need to make some recipes :eek:)
    I like most food but mushrooms and everytime i go shopping i dont seem to know what to pick up!!
    I look in my book but still i dont know lol also are all the muller light yogurts free as i really want to try the bannana and custard one thank you people :D

    Well tinned tomatoes and baked beans, pasta are always at the top of my list. Oh potatoes and salad bits.

    Plenty of fresh fruit- tho not too much as i find it just goes off as i forget about it!

    chopped tomatoes or passata are a good ingredient to have for making casseroles, curries or soups.

    ooo yummy i love muller lights and saw a recipe to make the ice cream im tryin to make the quiche at the moment its not cooked yet but already look super yummy :eek:)

    Things that usually end up in my basket:

    Fresh fruit (especially melon and pineapple, but whatever is in season)
    Veggies
    Quark
    Quorn mince and sausages
    Pasta
    Potatoes
    Eggs
    Reduced fat cheese

    ...and that's just a few things!

    Butternut squash (for soup or chips)
    fruit
    Broccoli (makes wonderful soup)
    Quark
    Potatoes
    Chicken breasts (aldi frozen ones are good value)
    Bacon
    Lots of veg
    Eggs
    Rice, basmati and brown
    Pasta.
