Its not advisable hun, as SF doesn't have all the nutrients you need for TFR and you will get ill. If you do SF then you have to stick to their programme with a healthy meal once a day and two replacement meals and snacks. Hope this helps x

    Hi Dee,

No slimfast isn't intended to be used as a TFR and isn't nutrionally balanced to be used as such, so you wouldn't be getting the right amount of nutrients as Cheryl said, plus you'd be getting too much sugar!

Slimfast does work well if you stick with the intended plan and drink plenty of water. I have heard of people that have used it as a TFR (4 shakes a day) and they didn't lose anymore than somebody following the intended plan, infact their weight loss was slower and they couldn't stick with it. Slimfast works as it isn't restrictive, so great for people that still like to eat. You can have a nice healthy dinner and 3 100cal snacks a day, the shakes taste lovely too and if you get your head in the right place (which we all struggle with at times) it's quite easy to stick to.

    Good luck :)

If you're getting fed up of CD as a TFR why would you want to use Slim Fast as a TFR?

I am fed up of travelling 60 miles to see my cdc, he is a lovely fella and really supportive but I see him once a month because he is very far away and feel that I need to get weighed every week instead of every month. I might consider going on slimfast when I get down to a certain weight though, thanks for the tips guyz

P.S. Slimfast won't get you into Ketosis...which means you will be ravenous...like a LION!!! :)

    Hi Nicole,

No SF doesn't get you into Ketosis, but if it's done as the intended plan (not as a TFR, you would be ravenous lol!) it is quite easy to stick to and you don't get ravenous on it as you have your snacks and your meal to keep you going x

Why don't you go to a closer one? There's a number in the Salisbury area.

Hey...even I'm closer than that :D and there's about 20 within 3 miles of me!
