Slimming World Newbie

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself as joined this for support as long way to go. Tried really hard in my first week of limming world but got a gain so was gutted! Tried really hard again this week and second weigh in tonight, signed up for 12 weeks so committed to keep going back as sure it will work in the end.
Did anyone else have a bad start?

Hi, I started SW coming straight of a VLCD, and had a 1lb gain, I lost 4 the 2nd week though.

Hello! Welcome to Minimins :) Come and visit us on the SW board if you've got any questions.

There will be a good reason for your gain...are you going to class? Make sure you talk it over with your consultant if you are. Some people have big losses their first week, but that's usually people who are starting fresh rather than coming from another diet - be it WW, low cal, food replacement...whatever. Don't be disheartened...give it a few weeks of a fair go. Be honest with yourself about what you eat and following the plan and it will work for you.

Hi there

Ive just rejoined SW on Monday . Ive been to classes previously for over 2 years I got to target just before Xmas but stopped going then put on over a stone. I started at 171/2 and do not want to end up back there.
Give me a shout if I can help you with anything, Im no expert but we all need help & support at times. How did your WI go ? I find weekends the hardest just lose control at times.
If you stick at slimming world the plan does work keep at it & let me know how you are getting on

Hi all,
Thanks for all your encouragement. Went to WI on Thursday and had lost 5 1/2 pounds so very pleased. I came from a calorie controlled diet to SW so think that may have been the problem. On track now and hope to keep the weigh going down :)

Hi Trixi, I did SW a few years ago and had really good results. I've got 2 friends you've done the plan and both have been at target for 5 years or more. They still follow the basic guidelines and have completely changed their lives. Good luck.
