Hi, I tend to start with a poppadom or two as most of the starters seem to be deep fried and full of syns. Then I have chicken rogan josh, boiled rice and a side salad. If you pile the rice, main and salad on your plate all at once it seems like a huge amount and always satisfies my need to stuff myself silly whilst out at an Indian I used to have poppadoms with pickle tray, onion bhaji, korma, fried rice and cheese naan.....god only knows how many syns in that lot. I know that my new 'usual' is never more than 15 syns, although i don't have the exact values to hand.
Chicken rogan josh sounds good! I seem lamb rogan josh in the syn book but I'm not keen on lamb. Might have tandoori chicken bits for starter as that shouldn't be that bad (hopefully!)
Boiled rice and naanless! Thanks for your tip!
I'm there on Sunday night and have decided I'm going to have Chicken Jalfrezi (8.5), boiled rice and half a poppadom (2). I'm driving so I'll stick to diet coke - an Indian meal in just 10.5 Syns, bargain!!
