Does your slow cooker get remarkable hot on the outside?

I know the bowl gets hot but I have just burnt my finger on mine and I have only used it twice so not sure if its a fault or they are all like this?

Can't recall my old one getting so hot but its not something you think about til you burn your finger!

well i only got mine yesterday so i cant completely answer your question, but i am trying it out and yes,the outside is hot-very hot!!

hmm perhaps I have just never touched it before?? Had my old one for abouut 5 years so you'd think I would have noticed!

Yes, slow cookers get very very hot.

I've never touched it while it's on because the instructions said not to So I assume this is normal and not a fault.

Funny how I never noticed - although to be fair I am not usually at home when its doing its job.

Have a lovely inch long blister though so won't be doing it again in a hurry.

yup mine is def hot on the outside too, the burn on my elbow proves it - gawd am such a ditz!
