Also the thing is not all fat is bad and if you aren't using syns, you can't be getting much Essential fatty acids which are EXTREMELY important! Look for low fat sunflower and olive oil spreads for example!
If you read the literature, they do recommend a minimum of 5 syns a day. Somedays you won't need that many but there is no need to skip them totally! They are very useful in helping you learn healthy choices, allowing you to have things you love so you are less likely to go off the wagon, and allow you some variety! I have been on the plan for just over a month and even with a flexable day where I had 50 syns in one day, I am still not far off losing a stone already! Have a truffle! (3 and a half syns) and enjoy your journey!
