Slowly slowly training

I’m going to start weight training again but have to take it really slow as I messed up my leg a couple of years back exercising. I thought I would mix it up with some smaller steps as I don’t move allot at the moment. But figured anything is better than nothing right?

The idea being if I shift some weight and train my muscles up slowly then I should hopefully take some of the pressure of my knees .. any advice?
 
Weight training is excellent for weight loss and also for our skeletons - can't find the blog post I read. I did find this https://www.shape.com/fitness/workouts/strength/strength-training-beginners but am not ready to start yet....

Thanks I will have a look into this! Need to start slow and work my way up! But we all have to start from somewhere! I know what you mean about not being ready I have put this off for a while now - hopefully all will go well for us both 🤞🏼
