    Hiiiii everyone!

    Well as you can see i'm not so new to minimins, bit of a posting geek, however! i am new to calorie counting, well will be once i've gone on a nice little holiday to Devon on Saturday! :D

    After looking around i decided to make the change from WW to CC as i feel that i just need something new to give me that extra boost to lose my final little bit, though i would like to take it further to 10st 7lbs/10st etc :) I found when i started WW i was really motivated because it was something new and i wanted to keep at it, however after more than a year, it's lost it's appeal a tiny bit, although i'm majorly grateful to WW for losing almost 5 stone over the year, i just am losing interest now as it's so natural and has become the norm of my life!

    So here i am, I usually WI of a Friday, and will do this Friday 1st Oct as usual, however then i'm on my hols until next Friday, so won't be weighing in that week till sat/sun ... i will expect a gain as i'm only human and it's my holiday! However i am going to try and be as good as i can when picking what to eat etc, and booze :)

    I haven't a clue how many calories to be on, i was on 20 points with WW and i used some of the websites people have suggested on here in various places and it turns out i should be on around 1900, as that's what i burn then i'm asleep?? did the whole BMR? and then x 1.2 ... as i don't work atm so sitting at home, and exercise gone out the window for now, until i throw myself into swimming again! :) (btw how many calories on average does this burn anyone know please? i usually do 6hrs of it in 3 days (including aquatone!) thankyou :) )

    erm so yeah 1900, 500 a day less to lose, makes 1400, however because i want a little push going to say as long as i'm inbetween 1000-1300 with calories i'm happy!

    anyone break up the cals for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks?

    Was thinking, 200 breakfast, 300 lunch, 600 dinner, then 100 snacks? .. this sound about right? 1200 in total? :)

    anyway rambling on now, as i usually do at this time of the morning hehe, hope everyone is doing well! and good luck with your week ahead i'll be around until Friday to see what everyone is up to and try and get an idea of the right things to have for the cals involved etc, any help would be amazing!!! i know a few faces round here so can't wait to meet you all

    Hey hun, thanks for popping through to visit the diary! :) thank you for the congrats!! it's been a tough long year but getting there slowly! hehe

    thanks for the advice, i suppose it depends on when my meal times are and what time etc, as at the weekends i'm with my OH and therefore his parents do some of the meals, (mainly half a pizza of a saturday!!! eek! lol) feel bad saying no when they have gone to trouble of buying it and cooking etc, but i always get mike to check the calories for me so things like that i will have to work around, but i'm thinking hopefully if i have a set amount for each mealtime it will help me stick to it better lol, and it works out to 1200, therefore if i do get a bit peckish later on i still have 100cals until i hit my limit of 1300 a day ! can't wait to start CC tbh! i've gone all excited again like when i started WW

    also with swimming i usually class it as low, because this way then if i actually do more like a moderate workout at least that's a lean way! i do about 40lenghts in 45mins and with aquatone i would say it's mod as i'm sweating but again keep it all at low, so hmm maybe 200cals for each day? so 600 over the 3 days? hopefully sounds about right lol
    :) i'll "bank" these cals anyway so doesn't really matter as ill stick to just my 1300 limit everyday, however its always nice to know how much you've earned working out hehe

    Heyy!! Welcome to calorie counting!! Ive just joined myself really! I really enjoy it because it gives u so much flexibility over what you eat. Im only half couting cals really, im just trying to chose low cal choices and cut back on how much Im eating.

    You have done so so soooo well!!! so a big congrats with that!

    I hope you have a lovely time away! I live in Cornwall! :)

    Hiiii :) Thankyou, everyone does seem really friendly and helpful! So grateful for everyone replying and helping me out it's nice to have a mixture of people at different stages in their journey also, because you can see it is doable and also support others along the way!

    Don't know where else to put it, but just read in a magazine, that if you want to lose weight quickly then you need to cut out the refined sugar (think it was refined lol) it said, sweets, chocolate, biscuits, bread and alcohol, and replace with lots of water and salad without dressing... lmao, what else does that really leave you with?!

    any ideas? :D

    aww damn ittt! lol i dislike tomatos! :( and mushrooms, and anything healthy lmao! only salad i tend to like is cucumber and lettuce! i'm hopeless! lol thanks for the reply hun, it was in a mag on about josie (Big Brother winner) and how she is wanting to lose 2 stone, and that nicky chapman trainer woman said that's the best way to do it! probably talking rubbish turning her into a rabbit me thinks :) xxx

    hey hun sorry it's taken a while to get back to you, only just got back off hols today, but thank you for your reply, i've decided to not completely cut out but definitely cut down a hell of a lot on chocolate, sweets, crisps, biscuits and bread for a while, i do love it but i'm guessing i've gain some .... well a hell of a lot due to hols so to get off the gain quickly ill cut it out hehe :) haven't WI yet gals! will do sunday morning to get proper reading and as i'll still be with OH for most of tomorrow, i won't start my CC until 10th now, the sunday! my usual WIs are fridays so will WI sunday to see damage and see how much i can actually try and get off by friday, i do want my weight off quickly but it's taken one year to get nearly 5 stone off, so tbh i dont mind taking it slow as long as it does come off hehe :)

    thanks again, and ill update and catcu up properly with everyone tomorrow!!! and then start my diaries on sunday teehee :)

    hope everyone has had a good week and enjoyed themselves! i've had a brill hol but tbh it's great to be back to do 'diet' again as i feel HUUUGGGGE! haha xxxxx

    PS: i'm also going to do calorie cycling at first to shift this gain a bit quicker hopefully lol but cant work anything out until i get my new starting weight on sunday lol :) x

    Hey hun thanks for reply, hopefully Calorie Cycling will help me also, i just feel it will help me more when shopping tbh, cause with WW i didn't have calculator so round the shops i had phone out on internet trying to work out points, but with CC i can just think low calories.. pop it in kind of thing (obviously going to check the other main elements also like sat fat, sugar, salt etc) glad its working for you, really cant wait to start, but am thinking i've put on around 7lbs off hols i feel majorly bloated and huge! :( not nice feeling but praying it will come off quite quickly hehe :) hope your having a great weekend xx


    Thanks hun, I'm hoping i will enjoy it i loved doing the wendy plan on WW which was same concept of Calorie Cycling but with points not calories obviously hehe :) Holiday was amazing loved every min and the weather was gorgeous i'm bloody freezing now im back lol all my jumpers are out ready for the brum winter weather! :D but just worrying with my weight now, and the gain! will soon find out later... but going to take my morning weight as my official one to start CC with! as only WI of a morning usually teehee :) will let you know damage later :eek::eek::eek: :p enjoy the weekend hun xx

    PS: i'm trying to be all nice with my writting but guessing it's easier using size 3 writing then the size 2?? as looks tinnyyy! hehe oops sorry for those having trouble maybe reading my posts ! :eek:

    You'll love calarie cycling. I've done my first week on lost 2 and a half pound and tbh I wasn't a good girl last weekend but pulled it back the rest of the week :) and didn't feel hungry once :)

    thank you hun, i know i shouldnt worry but it's just i should of realised not to over do it TOO much but it kind of went out the window lol, cant wait to get back home to see damage :eek: going to stock up on yogurts and fruit when i go shopping! they fill me up for little cals :) xx


    Wow congrats on the loss hun! that's amazing hope i can follow in your foot steps and get a big-ish number off by friday :) it's nice to know you can pull it back on calorie counting too if you do go overboard at weekends etc hehe hope your alright and having a good weekend! i need to catch up with everyones diaries! :) xx



    Thanks Irene! I'm hoping by doing something new it will get me motivated fully again to stick to it more better after a year one WW i began to slip! I'll still be popping over to do your challenges for the month though :) hehe take care xx

    Looking forward to reading your diary! Will be great to see how you're doing with us both being the same height and weight! And honestly don't worry about the gain :) I stuffed myself silly last week and after a week being back on calorie counting I feel much better and back to normal! :p

    How many calories are you averaging across the week??

    Can't wait to see how you do... gooooooood luck! (not that you'll need it :))

    Thankyou!!! can't wait for tomorrow to begin!! :D i think i may be a little bigger than you now though teehee silly gain! Weighed myself tonight before eating dinner and was 12st 4lbs so around 6lbs gain, probably class it as 7lbs by morning i guess! will wait and see before updating anything etc! :) going to be calorie cycling or zig zagging as it's been called too? hoping it will be like a kick start for me! and shift the weight that i've gained hehe brought some yogurts and some fruit, think i'm going to have cereal yog and fruit for mainly breakie and lunch then just a small meal to start off with just so i can feel better about myself, haven't worked out my cals yet due to not knowing exact weight till morning but know there is a site on here to work em out properly for over the 7 days :)

    Well here goes; thought might as well do my calorie workout now, just weighed myself, well around hour ago and was 12st 5lbs :eek::eek::eek:

    guessing in morning i'll be about 12st 4lbs, therefore that's what i'm taking as my start weight (if it's different in morning ill change it, but doubt it will be) 6lbs gain but i was expecting it tbh hehe :) was v greedy on hols!

    Went onto the calorie intake calculator website and got this information;


    Maintenance: 1932 Calories/day
    Fat Loss: 1546 Calories/day
    Extreme Fat Loss: 1159 Calories/day



    Therefore i will go for the extreme! :eek::eek::eek: :D

    Zig Zag / Calorie Cycle for 7 days looks like this;



    Ex Fat Loss

    Monday 1160

    Tuesday 928

    Wednesday 1392

    Thursday 1160

    Friday 1044

    Saturday 1276

    Sunday 1160

    So Seeing as i usually WI on a friday, when Friday comes around i'll pop that to the top and do it that way meaning, but for this week it's a sunday start, so tomorrow i have 1160 lovely cals to use :D Can't waitttt! have my sunday chicken roast meal ready and planned! cheerios in morning with skimmed milk and yog set... now it's just figuring out lunch :D

    YAY CC day is here! :cool:
