I am so frustrated right now!! I am currently 14st12, I have basically gone up from 14st at xmas, I am hovering between 14.8 to 14.12. I have been 13.7 to 14st for years and not desperately down about that as usually fairly fit. However this extra weight is destroying my confidence. My Bmi is 30 if done by weight & height but 29 on a machine as i am muscly and 5ft 8 with a medium to large frame. Nothing has changed though, I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and really mix up my routine between spin, pump, weights, road cycling 15 to 20 mile at a time. I dont really eat bread as I consider myself to be wheat or gluten intolerant, this has never been confirmed medically but I feel better not eating bread or pasta. The doctor recently ran blood tests for thyroid, anaemia (which can cause weight gain apparently, google hepcidin) all were ok though but said kidney function was low. So is redoing it and checking for Caeliacs too, however kidney results can be based on what you have eaten or drank in recent days. A PT who I dont train with but knows my story says maybe I dont eat enough but I dont get that hungry to want to eat more!? My doctor Suggested trying Paleo which is not too far from what I eat now apart from I have a little dairy although I have soya milk a lot instead. I have stuck religiously to WW for weeks and gained weight, I even did protein shakes for a week and stayed the same. Whatever I try nothing works, currently I am excluding yeast too, so have had a little soda bread this week and been fine. I would love to get to 12st by summer, any suggestions or ideas gratefully received.
