Soup cooking help!

Right now I'm cooking the 12 speed soup, there's so much of it I've had to transfer some to another pan so I've got them both on the go.

Its all been cooking for about an hour & a half & although the veg has softened slightly I thought it would be more of a puree by now. but still a little chunky. I wasn't planning on blending it as I thought it would reduce down a lot but it looks like that might take hours. Have I done something wrong or do I wait until a certain time then blend?
 
I'd just wait til all the veggies are soft then whizz away. The veggies wont dissolve on their own :D And the only reason it'll be runny is the amount of stock/water you put in, so by waiting for it to reduce you're just evaporating it all again :D Nothing wrong with chunky soup anyhoo, I detest it whizzed :jelous:
