    Thanks for the link - I hadn't seen one of these before. It is a bit pricey, but I see that you can use it as an ordinary blender as well. If I can find it at a better price, I might be tempted.

    I make a lot of soups and usually use a cheap stick blender from Tesco, which is fine, but this sounds much more convenient.

    Do let us know how you get on with it.
