i've just bought a packet of red pepper and chilli spelt from Morrisons, anyone have any idea of the syns?

Is spelt a free food? Box says it's similar to couscous.

    TIA

    Thanks hun,

I reckon spelt is free then as it's wholegrain, but the flavoured one must have few syns.

The info per 100g cooked is:

    105kcal
    3g protein
    21g carbs
1g fat, of which saturates 0.4g

    I've just run this through the calculator and it says;
5½ Syns per package/portion on Extra Easy
5½ Syns per package/portion on Green
5½ Syns per package/portion on Original

However, I didn't have the pack size so just put in 100g. If you give me the size of the pack I can try again :)

Ok, I've calculated it per 100g with the portion size being 55g and it's a massive ;)

1½ Syn per package/portion on Extra Easy
1½ Syn per package/portion on Green
1½ Syn per package/portion on Original

The whole box would be 3 syns. :D

Yeah please do hun because I've been wondering what it's like but didn't want to try it because I hate couscous. :)
