    I'm a huge fan of herb-y teas!
I don't really like fruit ones and am not drinking any flower ones (camomile or jasmine) now I'm back on SS but I have a big box of Twinings Chai which is 'spiced' tea; it's leaf tea with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and star anise.
I'm not sure whether it falls into the category of herb tea and is therefore OK, or whether it is more akin to fruit or flower and therefore might knock me out of ketosis.
    Does anyone know?
    Thanks heaps,
    Claire

Hi it should only be from the leaf so this would not be okay.

Green tea, black tea, redbush, mint, nettle are all okay.

No earl grey has a kind of citric acid in it that can knock you out of ketosis. Sorry!

Earl Grey has bergamot oil which is citrus so can affect some.

    Peppermint is fine.

Yup, that's why I thought I'd better ask now rather than drink it all week and wonder what went wrong :D

    Happy (leaf) tea drinking all!
(hey, if I got actual tea leaves I could learn to read them and have a second income by the end of the diet :giggle:)
