I've seen others posting on here saying they add a few chilli flakes to soups. I cook with chilli a lot on 1000 cals, especially if I'm steaming Quorn in the over with veg and balsamic vinegar; I toss a handful of chilli and mixed herbs in.

You can use some fresh herbs. Watch out if you used dried stuff as sometimes it contains other ingredients.

Also some curry powder is okay.

No to ginger.

If adding any of the above, just watch out in case anything makes you unexpectedly hungry

Oh and cinnamon and nutmeg are okay, but probably best left until wk 3

balsamic vinegar: it's a bit iffy. Best to avoid, but if you really want it, check the sugar content. I've heard that the cheaper brands tends to be better. Read the labels :)
