I am posting this as my tummy rumbles! I am so so so so so hungry. I can't stand it. I'm sipping my water, drinking green tea, just having a black coffee but my mind cannot stop thinking about food. Turning this into a positive experience I have realised that when I eat I'm not actually hungry. This is real hunger with real hunger pangs, when I eat normally I think I do it for something to do.

Anyway... Pleeeeease tell me this gets better. Its day 2 today and I'm halfway through. Come on ketotsis, kick in! x

Have a hot bath.... trawl through some old posts on here!!! (Kills hours!!!) Lol...

You will be fine.... another couple of days and you'll be in ketosis!!!

Keep going hun!! It passes!!!!

How much do you want to lose hun?? Do you have a goal/event your planning???

It will pass.. Day 3 & 5 were like that .. I pushed through & it got soooo much better... Promise... Keep remembering why you started this...keep your eye on the prize :) x

cant much more than what the other girls have said but im only 9 days in and first 2/3 days I was the same I just kept repeating what led me to doing this plan and finding things to do it will pass honestly xx your doing really well tho getting thro 1 st day so you can do it xx

It will get better and that first weigh in will make it all seem worth while i am now in my 3rd week and i dont get much hunger other than if i forget to have my shake or something. Hang in there x

Hello. I promise it gets better. Just get through the evening then you have done another day. Once you get into ketosis you don't feel hungry and have lots of energy. I wont kid on it's all plain sailing then but deffo the first few days is the hardest. I'm on day 13 and have lost a stone and dropped down a dress size already so that's what's keeping me going. Good luck!!!

What they said. Days 3 to 4 were the toughest for me, and week one was a nightmare. Wasn't sure if I really believed in ketosis/appetite suppression at the start, but when it kicked in the diet became surprisingly easy. Stick in there and this period will just be a bad memory.

You are not starving... its your mind playing tricks on you, like me when I started you are missing being greedy, but please dont confuse that with being hungry.

We all need to remember that kids in Africa are starving, we have 400 calories a day to live on, they dont have that a week !

Please dont give in, face your demons face on, once in ketosis you will feel better, once you see a weight loss you will feel over the moon. Use those incentives to keep going. Trust me, time flies looking back.

hi day 3 for me was the worst but after that much better i'm on day seven now and realy looking forward to way in tomorrow x stick with it go to bed if you have to and sleep it away XX

I'm having my first weigh in tomorrow. I've been in ketosis since day 3/4 (I dipped my wee at work so definitely am) but I'm still getting hunger pangs too. It has got slightly easier but was hoping that since I am in ketosis it wouldn't so bad. Is this normal? But stick at it Hun, stay focused and determined! You'll only disappoint yourself if you give in. Keep going....YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! Xxxx

Thank you all soooo much! It really got me through a hard day! It's day 3 today so I am preparing for the worst but I have got lots planned to keep me busy. I am in my final year of uni so I'll get stuck into lots of work! I've woken up with hunger pangs already this morning so I've had some water and green tea. I'm trying to hold out before the first shake, does anyone else do that and does it help? I am so glad to hear you all say that ketosis isn't a myth. I can't wait till it kicks in.

Deezer I have no particular event but my goal is a minimum of 34lbs, that puts me at top end of healthy range. However, I will see how I look and feel and if I can continue then I will :) It would be great to be middle or lower end of healthy range. I am just so fed up of feeling bad about myself and looking in the mirror and wanting to cry. These thoughts will definitely keep me going along with the support from everyone else.

Mancitymark that definitely puts life into a much more meaningful context. It's actually quite disgusting that we binge on junk food when others don't have so much as fruit or veg. Very sad :-(

Hey! All is fine now.... I think! I am still getting mild hunger pangs throughout the day but nothing I can't ignore. Waaaaaay better than the first few days. I was feeling so weak and moody.

I'm not going to lie, I do miss food! I didn't realise how much food was a part of my life. I feel like I've got so much more time on my hands! Luckily my boyfriend has started LT just 3 days after me so it's not like I have to sit and watch him eat or cook for him :)

How is it going with you? LETS GET THIN!
