Starting the Cambridge Diet in the morning

I am so new i have no profile - lol.

I am strting the cambridge diet in the morning - well i have an appointrment with my 'advisor' can any one give me any advice on what i may expect ?? thanx

I am being a bridesmaid for my friend in 8 weeks is this long enough to make a difference??

Welcome Spacerbabe! She'll weigh and measure you, maybe take a photo and discuss the different plans with you to find out what will suit you. Do not expect your first few days to be easy but it honestly does get better. Your first couple of weeks you will probably not have a lot of energy. Take a bath, go to bed early - all those sort of things! And stock up on plenty of water and loo rolls! You have to drink LOADS which has consequences!

A couple of months could see you down to a size 14 or even lower by comparing others and also me.

Thanx - shes has sounded really nice and encourging but i have never even done a weight watchers diet and to do something like this?? Maybe when i go get weighed etc i can add to my profile - i dont expect it to be easy but i am really determined and i suppose the motivation is the harest part - i was having a look at this forum and everyone seems really supportive.

Hun, I have never done WW of SW or any of those. This is a first for me. I thought I had no willpower but am amazed at myself so far. When I started getting compliments off people it felt great and keeps me going. I wasn't going to tell anyone in case I failed but I have had to tell people for various reasons and I think that is helping keep me on course.

The forum is great for support and answering any questions you may forget to ask your CDC. You will make many forum friends along the way and some of their stories and photos are so inspiring. We are real people experiencing the same things and helping each other.

brilliant - hopefully i will have my own too.. have only told my cousin im doing it - of course his initical reaction was - be careful - i think he thought it was a starvation diet...

well. looking forward to it anyway!! will let you know how i get on.. thanx

Hey hun, you can make a HUGE difference in 8 weeks! This diet is COMPLETELY different to WW or SW, so even if you had done them before it wouldn't really help much. Just keep in your head why you're doing it and rememeber it is only 8 weeks which in the grand scheme of things isn't very long. I'm back on a re-start today so will be doing day one with you. GOOD LUCK! xx

Well 1st day down and into my 2nd. my councelsor said if i can be ok till about 3 or 4 then all should be good.

Heres hoping!!!

I have been on Sole Sorce for 8 weeks and have lost 2 stones - it really does make a difference, especially around the waist. I have gone down one dress size (I'm tall) - if you're shorter you might drop 2 (or more) sizes.
Keep focussed!

Hi everyone, thanx for the messages - everyone is so encouraging.

last nite was a bit weird - when im watching TV i just wanted a chocolate bar!! GAL..LAX..XY ... i then woke up today with a pounding headache!!! but after 2 paracelamol I was back as right as rain.

defo feeling tired and glad i started on sat.. i couldnt have went to work on my 1st day (monday) too much temptation!! At least now after 2 days I know i have a bit of will power.

i know i didnt drink enough water yesturday but i have been determined today - a question thou about drinking all this water.. water retention?? i can feel all this water and am wondering does taking anything like a water rention tablet affect my sole source diet?? just checking..

I still havent wroked out how to add a ticker thing .. lol.. but i will!! I sat today and wrote my goals, first day but day - then week and then month!! I have absolutely no will power but i've had two days and I am determined!!! i have a dress to get for my xmas do!! i know its a bit away but that is after my whole losing it and sustaining it goal!!

Ah well - tomoro will be a test - at work at break.. We have a lady who makes warm crossants and scones... a normal occurance!! im well prepared for a shake!!! lol..

hey there - well done on no choc ! tomorrow is day 3 and you are nearly in Ketosis.......stick with it - it is sooooo worth it !

croissants will still be there when you've lost that couple of stone and feelin great !
