Starting tomorrow...very excited!

Well my packs have arrived, and hopefully the first day to the new me will start tomorrow. I'm both excited and scared as i really really want to do this. I wanted to post on here my reasons for doing it so that if i'm really struggling i can have a look at this and hopefully keep motivated to stay strong!

Well here goes:
1. I have two young boys and i want to be around to see them grow old. I want to see them old, married and happy.
2. I want to be able to relax when my husband touches me and not flinch at a cuddle incase he wants more then he'll feel all my lumps and bumps...
3. I want to walk into a room and not scan it to see if i'm the fattest person there...
4. I don't want my legs to rub when i walk!
5. I want to shop where i want to and not in the few shops where i fit into something resembling a tent!
6. I want to be able to run around and play with my boys without being out of breathe, or go on a slide without worrying i may get wedged in!
7. To prove to myself i can do it.
8. To prove to my horriable Dr who upset me last week by not allowing me to do cambridge diet that i can lose this weight without having to have cognitive therapy and because she thought i couldn't do it.:kissass:She didn't believe me when i said that at the mo i'm too embarressed to go to gym to exercise and that i was making up excuses. I'm gonna prove you wrong.

Sorry for long post but needed to have it down in writing. Sure i've got hundreds of more reasons but i think number 1 is my main reason. Would love any tips or to hear why your doing this too!

Great reasons and they should be excellent motivators to help you succeed with this diet :clap:

Was your GP offering you CBT? I would have taken it to help develop strategies to deal with dieting and maintaining weight loss.

I started last Wednesday (did a day on CD on Tuesday) and have enjoyed the flavours so far.

One of my main reasons is self esteem - when I am feeling better about myself I am so much happier and then everyone gets a better deal from me. I totally agree with the health issues too, and the lumps and bumps, of which I have plenty.

I lost 2 1/2 stone a year and a half ago and threw out most of my 'fat clothes' (size 16's). Since putting the weight back on, I have had to go out and buy new ones - and a couple of 18's, which has really got me down.

SO this is it - onwards and downwards

Huge amounts of luck to you Pinkbutterfly, you have lots of good reasons for doing this, not least of all your children. Stick with it and you will see the results you want.

So glad you managed to find a vlcd that is suitable for you and one that your GP doesn't have to agree to.

first day nearly over!!!

Nearly made it through the first day, though not used to drinking so much so been nipping to loo every five minutes!!
I was really surprised as i wasn't too keen on the strawberry milkshake which i thought i'd love, but i did split it into two shakes to make it last longer over breakfast and lunch. But i really enjoyed the veg soup, bit of pepper delicious:)
I do feel really tired though not sure if cause of exante or the fact i was up most night feeling anxious about starting....stupid i know!:eek:
Hopefully i'll do as well tomorrow, hope everyone else is going ok? xx

p.s would it affect my loss if i were to have a piece of fruit each day?

Hi PB. Well done on making it through day one.

If you are doing total, then you shouldn't have fruit. The sugar can kick you out of ketosis. If you are on working, then you are allowed a piece of fruit (from the allowed list)

Good luck on your first week.
