Struggling... :(

    Hey, well I've been on SS 100% since Tuesday morning (had the meeting on Monday), and I found Tuesday hard, was hungry, but Wednesday was absolutely fine, and yesterday I felt really, really good, really energised and happy. Felt like I could really do this.

    Well, today I was actually fine til about 4 ish, I'd only had the porridge so far and didn't even feel like I needed a shake, but I had it anyway, and since the shake I've been craving "normal" food so much. I haven't cracked, and I won't, but I've suddenly come on with loads of negativity :( My dad has just come back with the weekly shop, and whilst making some tea I was stuck looking at it all, and I think I could have easily eaten all 5 tesco bags. It isn't even that I'm hungry, it's just a huge craving, it's so so frustrating.

    I think it might be because I'm only in week 1, and so haven't had a weigh in yet so don't know if it's working. I think after week 2, I'll be OK, because then I know not only am I losing it but WI1 wasn't just a fluke.

    Did anyone else feel like they weren't going to lose anything? Sometimes I find this diet really hard and think I'm going to crack and will put all the weight back on, other times I think it's way too easy and I won't lose anything, it doesn't feel difficult enough.

    I'm sorry if this annoys people who've been on CD for ages, as I'm only on Day 4 and probably coming across as being whiney and speaking prematurely, I just want to stick to this so much. Whilst I'm here, anyone with a starting BMI of 30, or starting weight of around 12.4 that could give me an insight into how much they lost? Might give me a boost.

    Help, feeling really down :(

    Im on week 2 and the first week i felt the same. I lost 10.5lbs and believe me its soooooooooo worth it and now my cravings for foods have gone:D stick at it you'l feel amazing

    I think quite a few of us start CD thinking in the back of our heads that we'll be the exception to the rule and it won't work for us, but are just so desperate we give it a go anyway.

    Hang on in there and CD could do more for you than you could ever hope or dream for xx

    Thanks Serena, it's nice to know I'm not the only one!

    Amanda - WOW, you've done amazingly! Can I ask how tall you are? Just we had practically the same start weight. Were you on SS 100% too?

    I hope I can do even a fraction as well as you have, I just don't think I will :( If I can lose a stone by the end of the month I'd be so happy!

    yes yes yes!! i felt exactly the same because after months of loosing little to nothing on slimming world i couldnt believe i would loose anything more than 1lb...but actually i lost 8.5lb in just the first week:)

    i have been messing around last few weeks so i started again 100% SS on tuesday so im on the same day as you :)
    im finding the cravings much easier to deal with this time as i know now it will be worth it as i know the diet works.

    i am going on holiday in a few weeks so i cant SS for long as i need to go up the steps so i can have some nice food on my hols. so i am doing a countdown until i can eat again, which sounds silly but when i have a craving i just think, i can have it in 12 days etc...it really helps :)

    Thanks for your post, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who has felt like this! congrats on your weight loss though, you did really well :) do you have your weigh in next monday?

    Yeah thinking about even being on SS+ is helping me! although I'll have to be really strong to make sure I eat all the right stuff etc. It's funny, cos I'm not really a salad person, but I would KILL for a salad right now haha.

    Good luck with your weight loss, I hope you get the results you want before you go on holiday. And have fun in Ibiza! :)

    It's Day Four, honey... the worst day, I promise. Hang on in there. Once you are in the zone, it does get easier... promise. And others have said, you WILL lose weight if you stick to the diet, and that first loss will be a great motivation. Hugs... and don't give up!

    Luci, your day 4 afternoon is the exact same as my day 3 afternoon, so i can sympathise with you. I put it down to my carb store being totally emptied, and my body decided to let me know it wasn't happy!

    The cravings will pass, and you know you have the support of everyone on here, as we've all experienced similar at different times...you can do it! :)

    Thank you :eek: Day four really is crap! I went into ketosis after Day one, and thought I'd be fine from then on... apparently not.

    I wish I was doing this with a real life friend, it's so annoying when no-one around you understands how hard it is.

    I can’t really remember day 4 but remember SS being a mind over matter thing. It’s so worth it when you step on those scales and see a loss……….any loss!!
    You hang on in there and keep posting that way you are distracted and your hands are busy.

    I felt exactly the same in the first week, like nothing was happening and I hadn't lost anything - in the end I lost 8lb, so hang in there! As others have said, you will be so delighted at your first weigh in. It really worsk wonders for your motivation. :)

    Oh thank you :) I'm glad to know you felt the same! Although obviously, I'm not glad you felt crap... you know what I mean heh :p

    I hope it is my carb store being used up in a way, because then it starts burning fat, which is *always* good lol :)

    Lol, i knew what you meant, but it's always good to know that altho at the time it feels like you're the only one feeling that way, it's probably more common than you think. I still have random moments where it hink about food, but im hoping that's just habit, and i slug more water and wait for it to pass!

    yep, i weigh on monday evenings. although as its bank holiday next week i will be weighing myself. my CDC comes out to my house and weighs on my own scales so i know it will be accurate.

    then, the week after she cant come round until the wednesday 13th! thats when ill be going up to 810 plan so 12 days until i can eat again!:cool:

    Luci, I am the same in that I rely on minis for support - am in a rural area and don't know anyone else doing this at all. But minis is a lifeline, hon, promise... it can get you through the tough times. And there ARE tough times, but it is so, so worth it.

    Ahh I see, I'd find it nerve racking having to weigh myself! My CDc is lovely and giving up her Bank Holiday for me, don't deserve her.
