As a new member, I seem to keep making mistakes! For example, I have been having special k breaks as one of my syns at 5.5 syns a pack...discovered I could have been having a yummy kitkat for the same syns!

So what hints can you give me for maximising my syns? What snacks are surprisingly high/low in syns?

Depends on what you enjoy to snack on. Obvious answer is fruit :p

I personally snack on muller light yogurts, mug shots, tuna and low fat super noodles!!

Not the most healthiest but all free :)

See personally I dont think of foods like that as suitable snacks more as part of a meal

Surprise syns? Avocado! 14 or 15 syns!!!!

By the way there is a thread in the stickies all about low syn snacks

If you fancy something chocolatey how about a Kellogs fibre plus bar which you can have as a healthy extra enabling you to use your syns for something else!!! They're lovely!

This was more for things I might not have realised were high syns, and what low syn snack I could have instead ;)

This ^^^^^ I do still enjoy a little though, 28g mashed up gives me enough to put in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

Hi guys. Sorry if I'm writing in the wrong place. Rejoined slimming world on Wednesday night and forgot to pick up the pin number for the website. Can anyone tell me how many suns the various Danone Shape Delights 0% yogurts are please? Would be eternally grateful as trying to be really good this week xx

The PIN is written in your book by the pay-person when they register your card on the computer, on the page with the Consultant's details. You need that and the number off your card to register.

Are you doing EE? Although it's not exclusive, it does say you should go for superfree food first, like fruit or something.

I'd be careful having some of those, they're over 100 kcals each, and in snacks alone you could end up having loads of kcals, even though they're free. You should have your 1/3 superfree with them at least. If you're doing EE of course........

There are other threads from me, holding forth on the opposite of this, because they are free and you should be able to have them, but logic says if you're having 100s of kcals in snacks, on top of meals, it's really going to slow up the weight-loss.

The syns online search is much better now too than last time I used it. The free search with keywords is much easier than having to search by brand and then by product.

Good luck, you sound in the right frame of mind this time, so I am sure you will do well.
    ;)

Well I'm going to stock up on the activia snackpots then, as they are on offer. Thanks for this though, I would have been eating them as free otherwise! xxx
