Susie's 2022 campaign

Afternoon Team Fab

Busy morning with work so far, but going to relax now and i can do some of the writing on the weekend/at night.

Not got anything planned this weekend, except be home for a few picks ups and deliveries, so hope the weather brightens up and I can go out for a walk.

Food has been good, syn free, which is just as well because I've been enjoying all sorts of snack bars! Will I never learn...don't buy them and then I can't eat them.

Yep they do say that, if you avoid them once in the shop it's easier than avoiding them all week in the house. I do follow it a bit, I only buy nuts in any quantity, and one bar of dark chocolate with my shopping!

Fell completely off the wagon tonight - the chicken I'd got out to have for dinner was off 9even though I'd put it straight in the freezer once it was delivered) and had to go in the bin. I was starving so ordered pizza - but interestingly I was full to bursting after eating about half the amount I'd normally eat, and I really noticed the oil on the cheese.

So, line drawn under it, and hope it doesn't cause too much of a gain on Wednesday. Plus I had an undressed garden salad for lunch, and notm any syns...cross fingers!

it's good that you're learning to feel the sensation of being full. I think a lot of us have learned to ignore that feeling and continue to eat in the past. I think you'll be ok considering what else you've eaten (and not eaten) after all you could have fallen way further from the wagon that you did.

I agree with ChilliQueen. You have gained something positive you know when you are full. I know myself I cant eat as much as i use to. I know today's lunch i had eyes bigger than my belly. I has cooked chicken with bell peppers and spring onions. Then steamed purple sprouting broccoli/ cabbage/carrots and string beans. Sw roast potatoes and syn free gravy. . But left a roastie and some chicken.

Sorry you fell off the wagon (annoying about the chicken) - but good you noticed what the pizza was actually like and felt full. I could not eat all my birthday fish and chips - ate maybe 60% at lunch and the rest heated up for supper.

Looks like we have all altered our portion sizes. I try to be mindful of when I feel full. Unlike before eating everything and anything and portion control was an alien concept lol Although I still feel very guilty at not eating everything on my plate. My parents brought me up to clear my plate. Not that I blame them they were both youngsters during the war and the severe rationing. So food was just not wasted you just couldn't afford to with such restriction on food. But it is deeply engrained in me not to leave food. so breaking from this habit if I am feeling full is proving hard but I am determined to not sabotage my efforts.

That shirt looks great Susie and I imagine a flattering fit. My belly is my biggest part of me so I have to be careful with rit and flare and where the actual fit part is. It's great when you find something to wear and can buy it in a few colours, I love that.
I hope the house gets sorted, it's been dragging a while now and I imagine you can do with it just gone now and stop taking up headspace.

Thanks Tipp, yes I got the shirt in black and in white, and in black without sleeves, so it can be a sort of vest/waistcoat - but roomy. Love them all. Also got a white cotton baggy shirt, and the gorgeous fuschia one (that was way too big) is on its way - in a 22! Been a few years since I was in a 22 lol, even though it's not a true sizing, it's a nice feeling.

A SWI this morning shows a pound up thanks to the pizza and toffees and Skinny bars, but they are all gone - and will not be replaced! I had a perfectly lovely meal last night of zesty quinoa with green veg and 2 tablespoons red pesto (lighter in syns than green, weirdly), followed by yoghurt with passionfruit, and was stuffed. Asda is now doing FF Greek yog in 4 small containers, which is fab for me - I always end up throwing out whole pots because I don't start them. Shocking waste, really.

Horrible weather again today, cold and heavy rain is forecast for the entire week groan, so I am going to make a veg out of lots of frozen green veg and some fresh, and just slurp on it all day, in the hope that it might reduce the gain. I really need to get serious about SW and stop eating all the junk I've been having. I do find these things go in waves for me - I have good focus for a bit, then fall off the wagon - and sometimes it's a long time before I climb back up! I was fretting about the pizza, then thought "Wait a minute, I've made good food choices for my meals all week apart from this, let's focus on that instead" and not only felt a lot better, but also felt more resolve - win. win :D.

Have a good one and keep dry!

Great news about the flat and your good resolve!

Afternoon all - an STS for me which I'm really chuffed about, considering all the rubbish I ate! Another week of kitchen chaos and then I should be back on track, it's hard to keep producing syn free tasty meals with limited space and a microwave - and being lazy LOLOL.

Today -

B - coffee
L - potatoes, beans, spinach, basil and HEA cheese - basic but lush!
D - SW lasagne, once Mr Iceland gets here
S - apples, clems, some cottage cheese with pineapple that needs using up on HEB rye cakes

Hope you're all doing ok x

Good evening all. Had a NSV today. I went to get some trousers ready for my holiday in a few weeks time. I started off at size 26 which was getting rather snug. But today I bought two pairs of trousers in different styles and they were a size 20 . I was so thrilled I have dropped 3 dress sizes in 6 months and nearly 4 stones.

Brilliant progress Orc.

Afternoon all

Still not got a kitchen, with the weather holding things up, but managing ok and scales showed a pound down this morning.

Getting back on track foodwise, and got no bad sweet stuff in the house at all now! Got a few SW meals in - not having the Korean beef again that I had for lunch yesterday, that had so much ginger in it my eyes and nose watered for ages afterwards!

Food today -
Brunch - microwave omelette with A cheese, B toast and wilted spinach - fruit, and tea
D - SW meal and salad
S - rye cakes (3) with banana and Sweet Freedom (2)

Have a lovely Sunday x

Me neither, I've been detached from it all and coping fine uptil now but am starting to get a bit antsy - but it can't be helped and the anticipation will make the reality even more exciting (I keep telling myself lol).

Had the hungries bigtime so had a whole micro rice sachet with l/o spinach, the other A cheese and 1 syn mayo. Been too frightened to see how many syns for the rice (it was coconut and chilli, from Aldi) but actually it's 5.5 so not bad at all. Call it an even 7 syns.

Would love a zzz right now but one of the cats is outside and I like them both to be indoors if I'm napping, so I can lock the door - I never leave them outside without a way to get in safely, in case they get chased by a dog or what have you. The other is curled up next to me, she still has cystitis but is slowly on the mend, poor love.

Got a Yours Clothing delivery today too, a lovely oversized grey marl jumper, knickers and sandals which are too narrow and too long so have to go back. I really have to stop ordering cheap shoes online, they are never wide enough! So am trying a pair from Hotter - twice what I'd normally pay, but they do specialist extra wide fittings and don't look too much like granny shoes, cross fingers!

Just watching the neighbour do her garden and grimace when she looks at mine lol - best described as an overgrown jungle :D. She's a lovely older lady, who manicures her lawn with scissors (almost). I don't like gardening - there' I've said it out loud lol. Want to get a gardener to kill the dandelions and make it much more easy to look after - maybe when the house has sold.
