SW - Rustics Journey

Day 1 :

Decided on the 1st thing to eat was something quick this morning (i have yet to go shopping for food, which is on my list of things to do).
So grabbed 2 low fat sausages and rasher of bacon (no fat)...
Know it was really quick for breakfast, however drinking water and also finishing off the half bottle of diet pepsi i have (i believe this is syn free????)

Thats the one thing i cant seem to cut out!! I am a massive fizzy pop drinker... however i know i need to replace this with water


Recent skin consulation revealed perfect skin apart from purple bits round my eyes which suggested lack of water.... so best get on it!

Im an avid pepsi fan too, yeap all diet fizzys are syn free. I try and make a deal with myself for every drink of pepsi i have i also have the same amount of water. Its a real effort for me to drink water so i tend to buy the flavoured stuff it goes down a little better. Your brekki sounded nice i love quorn sausage and bacon. Water is brilliant for the whole body, kidneys, bowels, skin, hair and generally helps with weight loss or so my consultant told us.

That is a really good outlook! Everytime i drink pepsi... i drink the same amount of water!! Thats well good idea hahahaha!!!

Well it was a rather quick one today lol!

Not sure what T is going to hold tonight... i know its going to be after a Zumba session on the wii lol :p

Ahhh zumba i went to zumba for the first time last night! i was rather upset when i got home hahaha i thought i had more beat than i did i was stumbling round like a drunk hehe heyho we have these things to do. Ill go back again next week.

Im on a red day today so im going too have bacon with quorn sausage, grilled tomato and egg with bread from my HEB allowance.

Lol seriously dont get upset by it... im doing it on the wii atm lol... and seriously i think to myself... you look a freaking idiot!!! but thats the point... you notice the people teaching are size 10 with rhythm? Im not gonna be like that for a while so until then i will just do my best at it :)

Ok just had dinner :-


1 x Jacket Potato Option B

1 x slice of Corned Beef (not sure how many syns, however 100G is approx a size of a deck of cards and i certainly didnt have that, it was a fairly large thin slice... any ideas what to count that as?).... 1-2 syns?


2 sml scoops of baked beans (B Choice)


1 x sml flora butter (think this is 2 syns, as it was about a teaspoon)


So far = 3 syns today....

this sound about right?!?!

Todays Breaky : -

5 x Bacon (George Formand)... all fat removed
2 x Eggs (Frylight ... the goddess i have discovered!!)
2 x Slices of wholemeal bread (Option B)
Bit of Brown Sauce - Not sure syn value... but if 20 cals = 1 syn, and it is 25mls for 20 calories i didnt use no way near that :)... but i will count as 1 syn either way!!

Wow i feel good :D

Ok Dinner,....

2 Small chicken breasts coated with Jerk Chicken Seasoning... (I love this stuff and if you havent tried it? Run to the supermarket and grab it...in the world foods aisle.... its this shiizzzzz)
And i had low fat oven chips..... not sure how many calories in them... or their syn value.... anyone care to help???

Tomorrow morning? Zumba for 45 mins before work.....

And then the hardcore SW begins :D

ok so this morning is the new start.... fresh start!

Started the day with a bottle of water and an apple...
now going for an unsweetened tea with a bit of skimmed milk..... (cant stand black t lol)

I get 250ml of skimmed milk in option A right?!?!?

Jacket Potato
Mahoosive pile of mixed veg
Mahoosive pile of squished carrot and swede
1 x nob (think its 28G) of Flora butter

It says 2 syns per tsp
that about right??

ok guys for dinner last night i had

2 x small jacket potatos
Quorn Chilli (made by the lady)

So yesterday i had around 4 syns!! I am sooo proud of myself!!

Todays Start guys :

Breakfast : 28G of Kelloggs Bran Flakes (HEB)
Cup of Tea with bit of semi-skimmed milk and 1 low cal sweetner

Dinner :
Salad and Dried Chicken Tikka (from a packet), it says that 1/4 of a packet is 70 Cals (I think)
Its not in a sauce its just chicken in like a spicey coating...
Anyone have any ideas if i have to use syns?

Hi Kirsty,
Not sure on the tikka...is it like a powder in a packet? I know some have to be synned. There's a kind of unwritten unofficial rule for foods which don't have a free food value - 20 cals = 1 syn. Like I say, its not official, but its a bit of a guideline if that's any help? Xx

thats brilliant... kinda what i worked to.... so ive counted it as 2syns... least then i wont feel so bad...

also just nicked 2 pork sausages... mini ones... they 1 syn each...

so 4 syns today again isnt so bad... i actually feel so bad.....

Well i finished the day with nomming on 2 x rivita breads which is counted part of my HEB of my bran flakes.

For Tea tonight :

2 x Eggs, fried in Frylight
1 x 125G of Gammon Steak from Asda (even though Red day i kinda found out this is 1 syn)
100G of oven chips (downfall at 6 1/2 syns)

however only had 6 1/2 syns!

10 1/2 syns today... slightly over the daily want i wanted to stick to. But with my only 4 yesterday i dont feel so bad! :)
