Sweeteners?

Hi Everyone,

I've only just started my SW journey and wondered what the best sweetener is to buy? I don't use sugar very often but if i'm going to be making things at home I will need to buy some.

What is your favourite?

I use Stevia - it's a bit more expensive than the others but is natural. I prefer to not use aspartamine based sweetner.

Aldi do a nice one that is sucralose based and only 89p for a big tub, also suitable for cooking.

Thanks ladies, I ended up buying Stevia as my diabetic father uses it but it's horrible, there is a terrible aftertaste to it. Will check out the Aldi one next time I need it.

Actually, and I hate to write this, Stevia isn't natural at all - there are some seriously heavy duty chemicals used to extract the sweet extract from the plant. I won't touch any of them with a bargepole (and don't be conned into using agave syrup either, it's worse!). Sorry!
