It depends on what portion size that refers to. Presumably its not per 100g, so we need to know how many g it refers to.

ready made/packet/tinned etc soups have no free food allowance, so it will be a straight 1 syn for every 20 calories.

Well, in all the years I've been doing SW ( over 20!) I didn't know that!!
Why is there no free food allowence in soup in particular but there is in other foods?
    Strange!!

I think it's something to do with the additives, etc - but who knows! Better just to make your own...

If it's soup then its 1 syn per 20 calories as BritMum said, so its 1 syn per 100g.

If it "wasn't really" soup it would be free - but theres no point kidding yourself - 1 syn per 100g is pretty much naff all tbh... :)

I don't understand why you asked the question if you're just going to ignore the advice given and not syn it anyway tho? SW create these rules for a reason-and it's best not to try and analyse them and just accept them :) the plan works if you follow it 100% :)

Yes, I know the plan works...I have followed it for long enough!! Over 20 years infact!!

I simply asked a question, I did not expect a lecture on ignoring advice etc!! I didn't actually ask for advice as such...I asked for syn values!

I can choose what I like regards the plan.......I suspect there is not a single person among us who doesn't tweak it to suit themselves!!! Infact reading posts on here, I know that people tweak...and I am choosing to tweak too!!!!!!!!
    Thank you for helping....NOT!

Well we gave you those - the answer is 1 syn per 20 calories.
You choose whether you want to follow that or not, but theres no point kicking up a fuss when the answer isn't what you want to hear.
