Hi Ladies,

hello, i am retstarting SW having been a member in the past, but i cannot get to a weekly meeting and have found this brilliant website!

but i will miss being able to calculate / look up syn values.

I see from previous posts that generally 1 syn = 20 cals if non free food.

how do i work out if there is a free food content?
i am trying to work out Sains Creme Fraiche and black pepper sauce as i use this to make lasagne, for 1/2 pot is says
172 cals...
any help appreicated ;-) :jelous:

There is no way to work out the syns for things with free foods unless you are a group member I'm afraid. You would just need to ask on here.

Creme fraiche doesn't have a free food as a main ingredients so you canuse the 20 calories rule - 172 calories would be 8.5 syns.

The lowest syn creme fraiche is the WW one at half a syn per level tbp, other reduced fats ones are 1.5 syns for the same amount.

OK, thank you v much for replying. Thats seems pretty good value as i can make to lasagne's from 1/2 pot which means just over 4 syns using cheese as HEA ;-)
